On the first day of Eid, my family and I will go the mosque to pray our morning prayers followed by Khutba Eid prayers and sermon. Then we will go the cemetary to honor the deceased in our family and pass out sweets to others there. After that, we will go visiting relatives, starting with our parents, bringing sweets and gifts for all of the children, followed by visits to other family and friends bringing the same. That night I will have dinner with my close family at my father's home. Then we have arranged a dinner gathering on the second day for the entire family at a local event hall. There will be music and LOTS of great food. The third day is reserved to give to the poor. We donate money at the mosque to families in need, we donate frozen turkeys and all of the appropriate trimmings to local shelters and churches that pass them out to local families who go without usually. It is a very joyous and meaningful holiday celebration. Happy Eid to you.
