Is counter strike still a hit?

dude please think all around the world not only in ur country.. maybe in only ur country it has become like this but in other countries its still a bigger hit.. its right that u can get easily bored to play alone this game but since it is a multiplayer game u cant blame on that!!!!

Hmm, it used to be one of the biggest hits here in Egypt about 4 or 3 years ago, but not anymore LAN games were specially very popular here For some reason everybody is playing Winning Eleven nowadays, dunnow why, never been a soccer fan anyways UT2006 is also a very popular LAN game here

look around mate...the world is still full of cs fanatics...i'm from india and i think there's a whole lot out here who are totally into the game..its exactly like u said..long before it was just something like time pass...now if i were to say the truth i cant live without cs..part of daily routine..cant call it a day if i dint do some headshots...i sincerely hope that ur country become repopulated with cs fanatics again...happy gaming..

yes ofcourse counterstrike is still a hit.. i think all over the world everybody plays it say wether its a kid or or an adult i think most of us have been addicted to this freaky game.. i myself is an addict i have been playing since grade 9 .. so i think its world wide famous

No i dont play counter strike. i play stronghold crusaders which is one of the best stratehy games i have ever played. Also i prefer Tiberian Sun.

ya its still played acroos the world n tournaments r also being organized..

maybe people playing this game is on decline but i still play it,its a great game.i think you can enjoy more on multi player mode.but i feel that the maker of counter strike can work a bit on its resolution.sometime myPC got hanged.

Source of income? How so?

It's not a secret to anyone that video games can provide source of income. But you have to be professional. In my country(Romania) contests are held every week with big money going around. There is Pgl, and other unofficial constests played by clans. One time when I was playing big, there was a server wich paid their top players. So rallymercado if you are still good, you just have to find the best oportunities in you area to play it for the money. But as time changes games changes, and now i feel like 1.6 has decaded a little bit, and Source is going up faster.

At my school our internet is mostly blocked so we play that alot. It is alot of fun.

i dont agree to ur view!!! i dont think the crazy of counter strike has gone and i dont think it will ever go!!! since counter strike is one of the best multi player game no other game can beat up the fame of counter strike!! in ever college whenever there is a gaming fest the best game recommended is counter strike.. counter strike is the best game ever developed!!!! thank you

I have to agree with you. I was a hard core counter strike fanatic and it took me to places just to play the game. I would play as far as Sta mesa and Paranaque( I live in makati) just to compete. Every provincial and foreign assignment I would look for an gamer station to see the play the competition. I used to be a regular at Bcon greenbelt and that was the game that ruled for more than 3 years since it opened. However, I may have caused its demise in that shop because I remember getting hooked into DOTA and convinced my pals who were the hard core bcon counter strike addicts to play the game. What happened was almost an over night transformation. What was the last bastion of counter strike finally surrendered its reign to the new king - DOTA.

Yes, I think so. Even though it may not be the best FPS when it comes to graphics but what I know is that when I go to play online, cs servers are always full so it means there's still much people playing it all the time... it may not be that good in graphics but still it's the only game I often play for now.

ya...i heard lots of about counter strike...i never play counter strike... Sometimes I use to play Medal Of Honour:Allied Assualt with my freinds...but i saw in gaming cafe lots of people play counter strike...i think thats a great game...and i have desire to play this game..

no i think it again regained to itz full form.. almost in all symposiumz there no gaming event without thiz game... but i think tht thiz game dint made me as a addict.. i play counter stike strike day and night but not a addict... but not of the type tht without playing cs i wont sleep... and i m ready to play with u ..... r u ready man....
