Usually that is a class description of someone that is insecure and are unsure of their worth. Many follow the crowd because its what everyone else is doing, so its a no brainer, they dont need to think whether its right or not, or whether it will be accepted .. - it already is.. Those that are unique and individualistic, are the ones that think about who they are and usually don't care whether it is accepted or not as long as they accept themselves. Many people get to scared to be themselves in case its not accepted by others, but the truth is no matter where you go, there will always be someone, somewhere that wont accept you. So worrying about it, especially when you have no control over it, is a waste of time.

Many thanks for your wonderful response. Why do many people get scared to be themselves and alwyas expect approval and acceptance by others? Happy New Year.

I think they do this because they want to feel good about themselves. They buy the same clothes their neighbors are buying and using because their neighbors look good in those clothes. They think they'd look good in those clothes too. Not all people know how to dress fashionably so they copy from others. They just go with whatever everybody else is using. It's their choice. There's nothing wrong with it. Unless of course if they're already making themselves look stupid.
