There are so many out there that it's confusing. I'm still trying and testing different things and wondered do any of you have any recommendations.
Currently I use:
Foundation - Clarins, although since they changed it, I'm not that fond of it any more.
Mascara - L'oreal - can't remember what type it is.Comes in a gold cover.
Powder - No.7
Blusher - Avon
Eyeshadow - No.7
Eyeliner - L'oreal pencil
Lipstick - Face and No.7
Lipliner - Clarins
False Tan - Lancome Flash Bronzer
Body Moisturiser - Johnson's Holiday Skin

I use two different types of foundation, depending on my skin -- if it's dry I use Maxfactor flawless perfection, and if not, then I use L'Oreal Infalliable...
Mascara - L'Oreal Telescopic [I think that's the one you were talking about, too?]
Powder - Collection 2000
Blusher - Avon Dusty Rose [I think!]
Eyeshadow - Avon, Bourjois...
Eyeliner - Urban Decay Liquid [In Soot]
Lipgloss - Bourjois clear

Oh right. That's my disaster area I'm afraid. Getting the shade right. How is it that some women can do their makeup so perfect? I feel like stopping them in the street and saying "Excuse me, could you possibly tell me what makeup you're using". LOL!

It's QUITE good, but you have to get the shade EXACT, through mixing or whatever, otherwise it just looks awful.

I use Clarins foundation. I had used Body Shop eyeliner, lipstick and eyeshadow but they have been bought by a company that does animal testing I am informed.
So if anyone has any suggestion about which cosmetics are cruelty free they would be most welcome as I am nearly finished my Body Shop products and won't be buying more...

Babykay, thanks for that link. It looks like L'oreal are the ones that took over from the Body Shop.

I don't use the same brand for makeup. I mix it all up but usually once I find a color and brand I like I seem to stick with it as long as I can continue to find it.
For foundation I use cover girl, I can't remember the exact color its natural something.
I don't use powder most of the time.
Eyeliner I use cover girls charcoal.
Eyeshadow I use 2 different brands, I don't remember the brand name on either one of them. 1 color is a glittery light brown and the other is a darker brown that I put on top of the glittery light brown.
I don't wear mascra anymore.
I'm using lip gloss instead of lipstick. The name brand has worn off if it, if I remember right the color name is eastside snob. I really like it. I use to wear cover girls cutie lipstick but the place I was getting it from is closed due to fire damage.

I'd love a nice glittery brown eyeshadow. I haven't been able to find a nice one yet.

I have been using the Bare Escentual line since last April. I love it (except for the mascara) because it can be used in so many ways. It is made from natural minerals and you can blend products to create new shades or to lighten/darken foundation, blush, etc.

My friend got some of that off strawberrynet.com, and I have to admit, I was really impressed with it -- I don't know about the mascara, but the foundation was really good, she has one of those skintones that you can never seem to find foundation for, but she LOVED it...

I don't wear too much makeup usually, but I received a gift set of Ulta makeup for Christmas which I am really enjoying so far.
Do you have Ulta where you are?

I've never heard of Ulta. I must do a search for it now. I'm sure strawberry.net (?) would probably do it. I have never ordered anything from them, but maybe now's the time to give them a try.

I had a look at the Ulta website. Their stuff looks very reasonable in price. Now to see if they deliver to Ireland. :)

I've never heard of strawberry.net, I'll have to look it up. Ulta does have a website you can order from, here they also have stores. Their stores are really cool, they're these fairly large stores with any sort of beauty supply you can think of, in many different brands. But then they have their own brand in addition.

I have tried a lot of the make-ups around but I have found myself always going back to Max Factor, I think maybe this product suits my skin type the best.

I don't use any make-up ... only perhaps once or twice a year. My husband says that he perfers me without it. I think that you should reconsider wearing make-up and let your true beauty shine.

I don't actually wear it that often. I really only wear it when I'm going out for the night, or to an interview.

First of all, my skin is not good at all, I have acne and my face is oily, so I try not to put on makeup as often, hopefully not irritate my skin.
If I do put on makeup, I use:
Makeup base: Missha (a Korea brand)
Foundation:Almay-for acne skin, or Maybelline pure makeup
Conceler: maybelline pure makeup
Eyeliner: Panda (a japanese brand)
Mascara: Maybelline (I have almost every single kind...lol)
Loose powder: Shisedo
eye shadow: Bobbi Brown

About the only thing I like is Cover Girl. I have used it for years. Tried Avon and all their products make allergies kick in big time. Even the hypo-allergenics. So I have stuck to Cover Girl. I have used it mainly since I was old enough to use makeup. And that has been so long that I hate to tell you how many years agoit was.
