I'm so frustrated...

Ok, I try to start meaningful discussions. And I'm tired of people responding with answers that have NOTHING to do with what I actually wrote. Or they take what I wrote and turn it all around just to attack me for it...wtf?
It's hard enough to weed through all the silly questions just to find something worthwhile to respond to and then you have to weed through all the responses...AHHH IT'S SO AGGERVATING!!!
So, please people....READ READ READ and try to understand BEFORE you post a response!!!
Thank you to those of you that do take the time to read and understand before responding...we NEED more like you!!
Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me??????

I have attempted to start different discussions; a mixture of serious and light. I don't have people responding and I was wondering why. Then I look through the new discussions and see the mindless topics being started. It is so obvious that people are trying to milk the system for every penny they can get. Arrrgghhh! Sorry I'm off topic...I think all of our complaints have to do with quality. I am starting to think I could call random people from the phone book and have better conversations.
But I'll hang in there and try. I encourage you to do the same! Also, you might want to take advantage of the
ratings + - !
I have started to do this because I want to encourage people who respond in an appropriate manner, but it seems like you might want to take advantage of the - rating:)

Oh I do use the ratings!!! I didn't at first cause I didn't want to 'take' from anyone, since it's so little, but now it's tickin' me off!!! lol
Thank you both for the response!

I agree with you. I have had responses to some of the topics and questions I have started. But alot of stupid one liners. I do think that it's due to people just trying to get money. But what they fail to see is they aren't getting paid for these stupid comments. I never thought of giving a - for stupidity. I do give a + if I feel it is a good conversation starter or comment. Maybe more - would stop some of the nonesense. I like that kind of thinking.

I find this thoroughly irritating too. I try to give them negatives. I got a very long winded dissertation on Don Corleone on something, I don't remember exactly what. I reported it. I hate when people are just trying to pad their points. If you can't say something relevant and constructive, just stay out of it. At least that's my philosophy.

In so many online forums, I see folks who thrive on being "trolls"... or participating just to get a rise out of people. I don't understand why anyone takes pleasure in ruining good discussions. I mean, if you're not interested in the subject being discussed, there are only thousands of other threads to choose from! I do appreciate what you're saying about getting off-topic responses. I wish people wouldn't do that. I mean, they are completely free to place their thoughts, whatever they may be, in new discussions rather than disrupting the ones that are trying to grow and be interesting and productive.

It seems to be a universal problem... and my guess is that it will get worse, not better. My advice is to ignore the bad responses, reply to the intelligent ones, and take deeper breaths.
Do you suffer from road rage at all? Just wondering.

yes I shop at ebay............
Lol just kidding I agree with you on this perspective, there is nothing worse than someone who rushes around mylot, takes a quick glance at the new discussions, see anyones posts, and whilst not bothering to take the TIME to read the whole post, they post something totally irellivant... so a note to all you speed freaks out there.... SLOW down.

I agree that it's frustrating to translate what they are trying to say, but hey...Mylot welcomes everyone. Imagine how they feel trying to read our english...especially when half the people on here do not correct their typos!
Be Patient!!! Breathe...lol Have a great day! THank you for your response!

Don't let yourself demotivate by this girl but of course you're right. Most people are just copy/pasting like mad and often replying complete nonsense...
Hopefully you still get the courage to hit the 'alert'-button every single time...
hang in there!!
xx

I hope I don't demotivate anyone!! I love Mylot, just don't like the ones on here that are all about the numbers and money. You are NOT going to get rich or even make a decent living off doing this. Therefore people are just wasting thier own time and yours by being childish and not even responding to your topic. It's aggervating.
I hope you have a great day!

One thing I've been doing to weed out some of the sillier discussions is that when I notice people have posted some intelligent, thoughtful posts I add them to my friend's list. Then when I first come to the site I check the discussions started by my friends before I do anything else.

Cajun, I just recently started doing that after becoming so frustrated going through pages and pages of the same topics...Saddam hanged, Why are my earnings going down (You'd know had you ever actually read anything!lol these are the ones i'm talking about), ect.
THank you very much for your response.
Maddy~ That is a really interesting question that I'm going to go try and find the answer to, and I will get back with you! Thank you very much for the response! Happy New Year!

Oh God. I know what you mean. It's SOOOOO annoying. I might put up a post like:
"Which should I put in my stew - turnips or carrots?",
and the next thing someone will respond with something like
"Life is good sweetie. Be good to life and have nice time"
I feel like banging my head against a brick wall!!!

It's too much about the numbers!!! I can understand starting discussions that aren't so serious but some of these are just plain rediculous....None of us are going to get rich off this.
Thank you very much for your response!

well i see somewhere on mylot that some people make 200 posts 10-20 topics and photos i simplly don't understand how they can achieved but now i think that they just create non-sence reply like 'yes','no',lol etc.
some topics are really sensetive make you think over it..
now i always read topic before post..it reduces my speed but increases satisfaction of posting!!
also quality posting will help you to increase your earning..
nice discussion

Thank you. I am the same way. I don't know how people respond to a hundred posts a day, it takes me all day to do even 20...lol. But like you said, it's either because they are copying and pasting, or that they aren't paying attention!
Thank you for your response!

Yes I agree to you, therefore exactly using a translator and having difĂculdades to understand, I I try to read all what he was written before answering. But already vĂ some times many people writing things that relation with the subject did not have that the author spoke in its topic.
I think that when somebody acts thus our attitude not to like is to characterize negative this person.

Hey, Dont get so disheartened. Everybody has his or her own inferences about a discussion/topic. Bear with their judgement. No two people are alike. You just keep your spirit going...continue with your posts. If people are so keen to counter you with their posts, then keep the discussion going...

i am new so i have not had it personally, though i have seen my firends and others with it. some stupid people post things like a . and one person just writes something like "i respond to post" in almost every post of my friends i read.
some people just want the money, but don't realise they are going to get a bad reputation ...

My friend,i am also extremly frustrated like you. There are some jokers her who are really making me go bonkers by posting stuff which has no connection with the topic.
There are others who do not bother to reply not give a good rating to the answers.
People should play the game as per the rules. What do you think?
