I think working at a chicken restaurant was mine. I lasted two days. The girl that trained me lied and told me that the first day I work, I have to give her all my tips because I was working her section. It was horrible. The second day I quit. I had to pay a deposit on my uniform, when I went back to return my uniform they would not give me my deposit because my uniform was not ironed properly and it was! It just got a little crease from taking it back while I was on the bus. I ended up breaking even in the end, I was not going to go all the way home on the bus and back again to iron out one little crease. When I told the manager about the other waitress and my tips he said I was lying! This was one of my first jobs I ever had and to this day I will never forget it. In fact I have never ate there ever again, I cringe everytime I see the place!

I worked in DPS meerut as a teacher but it was the worst experience I ever had. I didn't mind the work load but the other teacher of the nursery section mad my life hell. We were told by principal to work in coordination with each other so I asked her to make a timetable similar for both the classes. she didn't sat down with me even once and then I prepared one after a wekk of waiting and gave it to hewr, guess what she lost it, I again made a copy and this time pinned it to her board. Soon I found the work I was doingf she was not following and homework for both section was requiered to be the same so I tried so much to make her write her diaries in time but it was always me writing her kids diaries for her. I talked to head mistress of the section for her un copoerative attitude, she spoke to her but the lady didn'tr change at all. I weas makiong lesson plans and writing dialries for her section too. I was really tired of her. Principal told me that she knows that she is not a goods teacher but she can manage kids well so olet it be, I should help out more. Then came the last straw. For the function of independence day we were supposed to prepare an item each day for rehearsals her kids were always missing. sometimes doing classwork , sometiomes she was writng diaries for them. Finally the item was a flop show and princiopal blamed me too for the flap(despite my telling her that prt of the participants were never there) and I was shocked to learn that headmistress had told her its an ego issue for me to work with her. I had just had enough of this unfairness. After first term papers I prepared each indivcidual child's report and guess what the other lady copied my reports for her class students saying this kid is similar to taht one and so on. After the PTA meeting to give out reports, I went to the principal and simply resigned. she was very happy that day as many parents had gone to her praising me and my methods of teaching. SHe really requested me to not to leave but I was too upset wioth her and thought soon it all blaming will start again so its better to quit and I ahd another job lined up tok so I just left the school. That was my worst experience of teaching.

that seriously sucks, how are the children of today meant to be educated by someone that is lazy, and seems to be that uneducated as to goto the extent of copying other teachers reports.. if thats anything to go by, then man I seriously feel sorry for them kids.

The worst job I ever did was working as a telemarketer in Colorado. I had no idea what I was doing, and probably sounded like a total moron over the phone. After 2 weeks of getting hung up on, and listening to my supervisor tell me to be more aggressive with my potential customers, I quit. I just can't tell people to give me their money for something that I knew in my heart they really didn't need.

For me it was a market research company you know those ppl you hang up on or ignore in malls. I hated that job it was my first one too, paid me a whole $3.15 an hour whooo hooo not a job i would ever think of going back to. But i have learned to have more tolerance for others doing this job. I am always polite and sometimes even answer the surveys.

One of the worst was doing the all-night shift at what was known as Big Mac's. It was one of the early burger places in our city. The place was tiny, and there was hardly any room to move behind the counter. We'd get customers until four in the morning, and as the hours went past, the customers got nastier. One of the staff got so peeved with a drunk customer he clipped him across the face with an ice-cream cone holder. You'd go home every morning, about 5 or 6 o'clock stinking of fat and grease.

The worst placed I worked was Stop & Shop do you believe they started me at $4.25 an hour what a sweat shop. You have to deal with old ladies hounding you about 10 cent coupons you get no respect even though I just said to myself be patient some day you will laugh at these people and now I do because I have a good job. Everytime I enter a food store I always treat the employees with respect because I know what they have been through.

I had the same experience with my training waitress when I worked as a waitress! She told me she got all my tips - and I had a wealthy football player as a customer, and I treated him wonderfully while she interrupted him and asked for an autograph! he left a 20$ tip and she got it. I was so peeved off. And the other waitresses would lie to customers and say I was a bad waitress, so they'd request another section, they'd steal tips left on my tables, it was awful. Waitressing is awful, absolutely awful. I lasted about a month and I hated it. The boss was a jerk, the other waitresses were petty and dishonest, and the work was back breaking.
Ex-waitresses of the world, unite!

While your experience was bad, I have to say that the amount of people who say fastfood work is the worst work, is quite amazing. It aint all that bad really. You are just pumping out burgers, taking orders or cleaning up. It may be very boring, and not fun at times, but I think that any job where (1) The people arnt very nice and (2) You dont work fairly are the jobs that are the worst.

I worked at a cricket hatchery (for fish bait) it was really smelly and hot... we also had worms and minnows, It was really hard work, cleaning out the brooders(6x3') cricket poop looks like sand we would have to scoop them out in big contianers and carry them pretty far to dump then, although the contianers were not very heavy they were not easy to carry, we would carry them on our shoulders, by the end of the day our shoulders would be bruised, also the jars that watered the crickets had to be washed, that was so disgusting I wont talk about it any further, the pay wasnt very good either...

I worked as a waitress and the management didnt like me anymore so they left me alone in the "private party room" with no help on a weekend night when this church party came in (about 15 people) and I served them full meals to desserts. This took 3/4 of my shift and another 2 waitresses split my station up front taking all my best tips. What did I get in return for the excellent service I gave those people including having to clean up after their unrulely children throwng food all over the floor and at me? These benevalent Christians left me smiles, compliments and a religious tract for me at each plate! I quit the next day.

Really religious people are terrible tippers!! Church groups always stiffed me and treated me like crap when I waitressed. They would come in on Sundays after church and Sundays were $5.00 pizza day. So, it was reaaaaalllllly busy and stressful to begin with. And then here come all the church folks, at least a 10 top and all wanting ot order their own pizzas!! Ugggghhhh!

Telemarketing! I worked at a place that sold carpet cleaning. We would have to call people and give them this speech and try to seel them carpet cleaning. People would laugh and tell me they had hardwood floors! I didn't make one sale the whole 2 weeks I was there. And get this, it was also a split shift. Meaning, I work 4 hours...went home for 3 and then had to go back in for 4 hours. so, basically my whole day revolved around working. I HATED IT!

The worst place where I worked it was at Ponderosa Steak House in Plattsburgh, NY. It was a lot of work to do and the boss was talking with the employes like with his slaves. The schedule was everyday from another hour and every minute they could send you home just because they were saying that there's not busy. But in the next minutes the room could be full of people. So 2 people had to work like they were 3 and even so the boss wasn't pleased with any of the employes. And the salary was only 6.5$/hour.

Working at Super Saver, a local grocery store, was mine. I HATED it. I worked it while I was 18, and every job I've had since then has been better - it's like that old saying "the less you get paid, the harder the job is".

I have to say mickey d's or as most people know it mcdonalds. It was just hell for me because it was so busy and my boss was so mean to mean I quit within a week even though I needed the money.

One of the Worst places I have ever worked for, is FRY's Electronics. This place is Great to shop in, but leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to working for them. They just Love to push people, and not Care about the person if they have a Health concern, or anything, and if you are not doing up to what they tell you to do, and complain, it is your fault, and they let you go.
I am Diabetic, and they let me go due to saying I could not handle the job. But the problem was they believed one young girl over me who was supposed to be my Supervisor. I had nothing but problems with her from day 1. I will still Shop there now from time to time, but it took me like 6 months before I could go back in there. I even tell all of my friends, and the people I work with now, Never Get a Job at FRY's. You will regret it usually in the end, unless you like bending over backwards.

It would probably be when I was working part time in a piggery. I had to stay up all night especially if a pig is near to give birth. Plus the stink you get from the establishment also and from the pigs poop. Its kinda disgusting at first but afterwards you kind of get used to it.

Unfortunately your story is all too common. People can be mean and will try to get away with just about anything. Sorry it happened to you but thus is life.
Pretty much the same thing has happened to my son a couple of times and he was angry for awhile. But you know it's made him a better person because now he would never dream of doing something like that to anyone, ever.
I would say the worse job I ever had was picking fly crap out of pepper.
Okay I was just kidding on that one. I rather enjoyed that job, it took a good eye.
Alright, really this time. :)
Before I became a software instructor I work some pretty hard manual labor type jobs, but you know for the most part I loved it. I felt like I was contributing in some way and it made me happy.
But this one job...
I worked on a few dairy farms in my youth but this one was scary. And I ended up calling the sanitation department and the dairy company they supplied milk to and reported them.
The next thing I knew the owner had jumped me from behind and started beating on me. I was just a young teen, not even twenty yet. I had been in trouble with the law and he was an ex-cop, so I didn't lift a finger to defend myself.
The stress of him beating on my was too much for him and his nose started bleeding and the next thing I knew his wife on top of me beating me too and yelling at me to stop hitting her husband.
That was only a few minutes of beating and I didn't even get hurt, but it was a long few minutes.
I felt good for reporting them though and would do it again in a heart beat.
