Do you like going to Church or you just feel obliged sometimes? Do you listen when the priest says the sermon?

I also feel guilty that I have not been to the Church for so long. I feel as though I am not worthy to go to Church. I do hope that one of these days, my feet would walk me to the Church.

The first thing I say to God when I go to church and kneel down is, "Thank you for bringing us here today."

I am a Hindu... But I do go to church.... I think all gods are one and the same.... I go to temples (which is like church for hindus) and also to churches,,,, both are one and the same... I go to both the places when i feel like :)

When you said that you go to both places when you feel like it, you also praise your Hindu God in a Catholic Church? Isn't it blasphemous on your part? Anyway it is still nice to hear that you go to Church.

I try to go to church most weekends. Sometimes it gets a bit much with three children though. When we are there it is very uplifting to spend time in His house and I often hear some real gems from the priest's sermon.

That is nice to hear that you go to Mass with you children and that you actually listen to the sermons of the priest. I have yet to assess my faith and contemplate my relationship with God. I have a lot of shortcomings in regard to attending Mass every Sunday.

We are on the same boat. Sometimes I am just lazy but most of the time I feel as though I am not worthy to go to Mass. Besides, I can't receive communion without going to confession.

That is not true. If you are a Catholic, our last prayer before Communion is "Lord, I am not worthy to receive you. Only say the Word and I shall be healed." You don't have to go to actual confession to take Communion. You do, however, must not continue to sin. ie living someone without being married, without having been baptized into the church. Then you can go up at Communion and receive a blessing. God turns no one away. We are all God's children.

I don't go to an actual "church" as in a building or structure, however I do watch Joel Osteen on TV on Sundays. He is my favorite preacher and it really helps me get my week started. And yes, I do listen. I also love praying and having long conversations with God.

praying hands - praying
I love going to church! I love having the opportunity to spend time set apart just for God. I love praising God and worshipping Him and love praying to Him. Can I do this on my own? of course...but this is one whole hour set apart just for that purpose, not a quick prayer as I get up or during the day...but set apart just for Him. And my priest is a gifted speaker...it is very rare that my mind will wander when he speaks the homily.

yes every sunday i go to church - the reason why we are going to church is to pray and worship god , and one of the way doing it is to listen to the priest sermon - how about you?

I do sometimes go to church, though not very often and I haven't been in quite a while. I do feel bad about it on occasion and I do think that one should probably go, but then again I don't think that you must go, I am a Christian even though I don't regularly attend church, and I don't feel it really necessary for me to, however I do regret not getting my children involved in church so that they can learn about Jesus and God. When I do go I usually try to listen to the serman, though sometimes it is hard to do. Good preachers can usually capture my attention, though I don't always agree with what they say.

Yes I do like to go to church but the churchs today are not like they used to be and I do believe that if you are a Christian you do not necessarily have to go to church and yes when I go to church I listen when the priest or the minister gives the sermon.

Yes, I go to church almost every Sunday. In addition I sing in the choir, so I go to choir practice mid-week. Working on the music for worship blesses me, too. Yes, we have a very good pastor, in fact several of them. I am not Catholic, do not have confession.I am a member of an evagelical protestant denomination.I confess my sins directly to God. I participate in communion as often as we have it in our church. That is not every week. I do know, whether I am in church or not that God gave his only son, Jesus, to be the propitiation (payment) for my sins, and I have to accept that as a free gift from God. That atonement is available to me whether I am in a church building or not. I belong to an organised religious group so that we can build each other up and support each other.

I go because I want to go. I want to learn so yes I listen. Yes I read the Bible at home. Yes I pray. God is my friend, and he wants my communication like all the rest of my friends. He wants to me listen to Him like I do with my friends. He wants to spend time with me. I treat Him with the respect of giving Him the honour He deserves.
