Why the hell do they have to put so much packaging material on christmas toys? I opened a Bratz doll for my daughter and it took 20 minutes to get the thing out!!! Not only where the arms and legs fastened down with ties, the hair was sewn onto a piece of cardboard. By the time iI had unpicked the hair, she was half bald!!! Do they think that dolls are going to get up and escape?? No need!

I know what you mean!! I got my grandson a large battery operated car and it took forever to get it out of it's box because it was packed so tightly. Everything was wired down with a zillion ties, and there was so much plastic wrapped around it. I'm not sure, but I think they do this either so it makes it harder for theft to happen from the store, or if it's wrapped that way to protect it during shipping. Whatever it is, it IS annoying and a waste of resources. Too bad the Bratz doll had it's hair sewn into the cardboard. Personally, I would have taken it back to the store with the cardboard attatched...although then your poor daughter wouldn't have had her doll to play with that day.

I know your pain so well on this one...
I started collecting Transformers toys beginning of this year and Legend class toys (small toys, about 3-4 inches high) can have sometimes 4 or 5 twisty tags making it almost impossible to get this tiny toy out of it's packaging!
The larger toys are even more of a nightmare, one of them had over 30 twisty tags, 10 clear rubber bands and the plastic shell holding it in the box was so snug the toy had to be wrenched out and pieces came off in the process (luckily they snap back one, but not the point).
I think it is ridiculous how they package toys, especially as these are rated 5+, some of these adults have extreme difficulty getting out of the box, let alone kids!

such a nice feast it is
A winter festival was traditionally the most popular festival of the year in many cultures, in part because there was less agricultural work to be done during the winter. From a Christian perspective, Easter was the most significant feast in the church calendar.Christmas was considered less significant, and the early church opposed the celebration of birthdays of church members. The prominence of Christmas in modern times may reflect the continuing influence of the winter festival tradition, including the following festivals:

We must of bought the same dolls for our daughters. I had bought both of my daughters the same doll (as to not fight over) for Christmas and when they asked for help with opening them I thought nothing of it. It took me 30 minutes to get those dolls out of the wrap. It was not like this when we were kids. I don't understand why it is necessary to tie them down either.

Oh my gosh I know what you mean. Its terrible trying to get them out of the package. I really think the reason they make it so hard is to keep people from being able to easy take the dolls out of the package and walk out of the store with them. If it takes us that long to open them at home someone would get caught trying to steal a doll if they had to take that long doing it at a store. It sucks for us but its good for the business to hopefully not loose so much money from the secure packaging.

I know what you mean I have four children and it took me 2 hours to get all of their stuff out of the packages. I really dont get why they sew the hair down either.
