Arrogance......

I think when in other countries and things go wrong people sometimes blame the people of the country instead of the situation. I guess it's a kind of scapegoating and that's how prejudice and so on occur. I lived in Vietnam for a long time and saw a lot of it there. I think such people will always find someone to blame for things that don't go their way in life, regardless of where they are on the planet.

I don't know what happened there other than what I'v read in the newspapers and I'm tryly sorryif something like that hppened. ...HOWEVER, there seems to be more than enough arrogance to go around. I'm getting this picture of some mylot people coming home from their outsourced jobs, changing into blue jeans, popping a can of coke, opening Microsft Windows and typing in a few paragraphs about how much they hate America. And you call us arrogant and say we have no respect for you.

You think they are terrorists because they said "you blood Indians"? You have a pretty low threshold for terrorism, then.

People like that act the same way to people in their own country. I think it is a power trip for the body guards. They think they are special because of who they work for. They would treat me the same way the treated the people from your country and I am from their country. Please don't think we are all that way because we are not.

You know it's a shame, while I see so many people here bashing Americans. Well I am American, and I have seen in the hospital an Indian man stab a taxi driver for no known reason other then cause he was an Arab muslim, so who is the terroist? Is it those who attack or those who keep bashing others countries? If u hate us that much, then why u come to American sites to express your views in a more civilized way, but if you were given the chance to come here, I bet, you would do so, please, we are here to learn from each other and to develop new ideas, not to keep bashing each others countries.

i think maybe its depend on the situations, maybe some people dont care how to act as to value their countries,we cannot say that other side is right or worng since we dont really know the real story.

We thought that was the task of a guard who did not want something that was bad to happen to his employer, but arogansi that was indeed bad, not okay felt great personally because for me on sky still had sky so arrogance that was really not good because of the right someone was same. dont do that

I believe they would have acted the same way in their own country and perhaps it just slipped out? There are far more insulting things that they could have said. As for the comment about developed countries I think in many cases they have to respect the moral values of others, after all much of their buisness is often over seas. I think you are being just as bad as them by infering that everyone in "developed countries" do not respect others moral values.

It is madness to say that all people from developed countries are arrogant. You get poeple who think they have the right to treat people in a bad way in every street,town, city and country in the world. I agree that what they did was disgusting, however to say its just people who are from developed countries act like that is naive. You can't judge a whole section of the world from a handful of people. Everyone is an individual and how they act is down to each person to decide. Thinking like this creates prejudices.

Offcourse V all are patriots. V all should oppose this kind of behavior from such people. They are leaving Now because of our people. They should remember that first and then they have to speak. That Shows their decipline and what they are so Even v have to behave in such a way to such kind of dirty people......

Racist or religioous comments should not be accepted at any level! The bodyguards have obviously forgotten the manners their moms taught them. If you are in someone elses home or in this case country then you respect their culture and values. OK so they had a job to do but surely their employers would not be pleased to hear of the attitiude given to local people. If they very my bodyguards they would be on written warnings or fired for such horrendous behaviour.

I really dont think one could make a justified alignment between arrogance and people of the developed world. Its a crude generalisation! You find arrogance in any sphere of life, Im from a developing country as well, and we have extreme examples of arrogance in our government. Its got to do with the individual itself, not a country or culture.

hey, i do appreciate ur point. there is a saying " a little knowledge is dangerous for life" this statement is well executed by citizens of developed countries. if u can't repect someone, then u shouldn't harm his/her dignity also. whatever appened is a shame for brad pitt & jolie. shame............

i think the topic is very sensitive .that as we poke it ,it gets into a bigger trouble.if we leave it it simply goes unnoticed.it is the bodygaurd who used the words and also because of somekind of irritation in him might have invigorated him.it is just like scolding our parents when we are angry with them.it does not mean that we hate or dislike our parents.in fact we love them a lot.
