You are right. Eating fish is really good for our brain and eyes. Many people in my country like to eat Mekong river fish. We have a lot of fish in the southern of the country. We serve relatives or friends who are visiting us in the family each time, they will appreciate very much.

I used to try to eat fish as much as possible and still do to some extent because of the health benefits over eating red meat. But, for the same reason, I cut down as of late because there is a bit of an issue with imported fish being high in chemical and lead content. It is not high enough to ban the product here but it is said to be enough that if consumed over a long period of time, will have negetive heath benefits.
Even so, I still eat sushi quite a bit as restaurants that serve raw fish are regulated health wise a little more stringently and fresh fish is still one of my favorite foods.

I know fish is so good for the health but I don't eat fish. I don't like fish. It doesn't have much flavor or texture for me. I only eat crispy anchovies and stuffed milkfish (bangus) and that's eating it alone as a snack, not with rice. But then again, I'm such a picky eater.

In the USA, we eat seafood whenever possible, but its cheaper in the summer, of course.
A 31/2-ounce serving of the following fish provides at least 700 milligrams (0.7 gram) of omega-3 fatty acids important to relieve arthritis:
Anchovies*
Bass, striped
Bluefish
Herring*
Mackerel*
Sablefish*
Salmon
Sardines*
Shark
Trout, brook
Trout, lake*
Tuna, white
*These contain double the omega-3s, or at least 1.4 grams.
In general, the darker the flesh, the fattier the fish and the more omega-3s it contains.

In the United States we are encouraged to eat fish by our physicians and dieticians. They tell us to eat it because it is rich in omega 3 fatty acids and lots of other good things. My husband loves all types of fish and would it every day if I like it! I am trying hard to learn to like fish. I do like flounder and shrimp. I am eating other fish every now and then in hopes of developing a taste for them! The types of fish that have a very fishy smell I cannot eat as the smell bothers me. That is why I like the flounder because it is mild and I can't smell it!

fish is healthy, but here in the united states too many people eat them fried and it is not healthy at all, but in my family we eat our fish steam which i think it is alot better for you than fried and we eat about twice or three time a week, or whenever we get them on sale.

I believe we should be paying more for fish. Demand is outstripping supply and stocks are diminishing. Yes, in general fish is a very healthy option. Cheap processed foods like fish fingers are a poor substitute that have little value but are eaten mostly by poor people. Too much fish is wasted because government rules say that any wrong size or type fish caught must be returned to the sea. These wrong fish almost always die in the process, and only serve to reduce breeding stock, without adding to food supply.
But fish is not the only healthy food, and we do not need to deplete all the stocks as we are doing.
