When I was a little girl I spent many hours playing with my paper dolls, I had a pretty good collection, I remember I had, Annette Funicello, Doris Day, Rock Hudson, Shirley Temple and many more, they were very much played with, they even have a modern day version of an Elvis paper doll these days which I have a photo in My Interests, so I went searching on the net and for those who have little girls who might like to play with paper dolls there are a few you can download..here is a link that you might like to check out and you can print out the dolls...

I often wonder if kids today would even consider playing with paper dolls... I loved them.

I used to love paper dolls. They used to come on the backs of comic books when I was a kid. My cousins had these great ones that were magnetic. The clothes had a little magnetic square that stuck to a magnet on the cardboard dolls body. I loved playing with them when I went to visit.

hey, i remember them all...I used to play with them when i was about 5 until 10. I like to changed their cloth. Guess kids now days wouldn't play with this kind of doll anymore. They are more faster become mature with all the internet stuff i think.

lilaclady, paper dolls bring back such memories and lots of fun. Thank goodness for sticky tape in those days though, as the changing of outfits I had for mine the little tabs were not very strong and ended up taped to hold together. I'd actually forgotten all about them!

i love to play paper dolls. In fact during my childhood, i used to create my own paperdolls. I never had the chance to buy like those well known paper dolls. Only those local one here in our contry. I much more on my own making. Its very fun and i do my own dresses for it, my own design but unfortunately my collection of that are all gone when we move house.

I saw this link and just to feeling realyl old! LOL... I love it!
I had truly forgotten about playing with paper dolls! I had so many of them at one time, but I can't for the life of me remember the names of them. I used to get them in a book of press board and you would pop out the dolls. The clothing were on lighter weight paper. I love those silly things!
Thanks for the link, it was great to look at them and reminisce!

I just made a whole bunch of paper dolls because of watching the South Park animations. I don't have the equipment to actually animate them, but I literally stayed up until 3 AM one night cutting out hair and clothes and eyes and purses. I had a blast. I decided not to glue any pieces together. I put each person in it's own ziplock bag. That way I can tuck them inside a greeting card and the person who recieves it can put it together like a little puzzle.
Someday I'll get to 500 points and I can start posting photos here again. Grrr. Bad mylot, no biscuit.

I was given a book of paper dolls when I was little but I think my mom still has it put away somewhere. As I recall, I was very upset that I didn't get the toy truck I wanted for the sandbox. My girls would probably be interested, though - they are very much into Barbie and Bratz and Polly Pocket. Thanks for the link.

I remember them! I even have my Royal Family paper doll book! Those things were so great! Too bad you can only find them in specialty stores now. It would be great to see them make a come back. To see your favorite TV star as a paperdoll!

I also used to love to play with paperdolls. I found my girls had little interest in it. I think the new computer /electronics age has taken the place of a lot of the good old activities we enjoyed as children. We used our imagination to create fun and those days are gone!

I am 54yrs. old and definitely remember the many hours I spent playing with Paper Dolls. I would even design clothing on paper, color them and dress them in my designs. My Mother had some old Shirley Temple Paper Dolls and she gave them to me when she thought I was old enough to take care of them. Unfortunately, I cut one of the dolls hair off and that was the end of that. LOL I think it would be a great comeback for little girls.

I remember Paper Dolls, very much so. My grandmother would always buy them for me when she would take me to the store. I had millions of paper dolls growing. I had alot of the Disney, Barbie ones, and I had the American Girl dolls
