Do you think US had anything to do with Saddam's execution?

I didnt think there was any doubt it until I started discussing this with a friend of mine who vehemently argued that the US had nothing to do with the execution and it was all Iraq and its people.
I still do not agree with my friend. I think more than anyone else it is the USA that is responsible for the execution.

As far as i know, verdict against saddam was passed by an Iraqi court of law, he was tried by an Iraqi judge and was executed by Iraqis! Bush may not have been directly involved but surely his consent must have been taken before the execution took place!
So yes the US got Saddam executed through the iraqis! and i think it was justified! for all the atrocities he committed against his own people he was bound to end up like that!

Bush didnt need to do anything much with Saddam. All he had to do was give Saddam to the Iraqis. He had troubled them so much that they would have killed him anyway...charges proved or not wouldnt have made any great a difference to the emotionally charged people. And Bush was smart enough to realize that!!!

Who do you think gave Saddam to the Iraqis? The US! I don't know who the men wearing the masks were but I bet one of them at least was American. And they said Bush slept through it. And I've got some swamp land in Georgia. Bush is staying out of sight because he is afraid they'll come after him. Hopefully he will sleep well now that he has vindicated his father. That is what he wanted to do all along.

There were no Americans present for the execution. The entire trial, conviction, and execution were completely handled by the Iraqi people. Of course its true.
