Is it true that Saddam has duplicates of himself?

I remember reading years ago that Sadam had 4 look alikes. Supposedly there were ways to tell them apart - they sounded differe, different identifying marks, etc. Supposedly all leaders do this.

Oh yess, he had many duplicates made,for the main reson that in anytime someone could have tried to kill him,and they made sure his duplicate was there and shown so he would get killed instead of Saddam himself..and yes many Presidents and leaders do this,I rememeber reading in 88 i believe or 89..someone shot Saddam..or so the thought and it was his Duplicate..and yes it was him,im very sure.The government fiinger printed him and got his DNA and all that jazz like Xrays and markings he had they checked for to make sure it was in fact him.

I don't think Saddam has duplicates of himself. I think it's more of a theory that hasn't been proven.

The UN stated quiet often that Saddam had duplicates of himself running all over the place so that he could avoid capture. They were not absolute doubles for him but had a very strong resembalance to him, to throw off the trackers, his dimentions, his dress, his hair style, ect... No to mention with a man hunt like the one on him I am certain that they did all sorts of tests to ensure it was him and not a double. Thank you for a good post! HAve a great day!!

Yes, he does. But I guess it was him that was executed. I can't think of conspiracy theories right now. ;)
