What do you leave on in the house when you go to bed?

I always leave a light on in the hallway for the bathroom reason. And like others have mentioned, if the kids are up late, pretty much everything gets left one.

My boyfriend always leaves the tv on too but that's the only way he can sleep. i also want it off. i leave on the bathroom light and sometimes the kitchen light (my boyfriend does that). it would be off if i knew it was on. i dont have a porch light i live in an apartment.

My younger children leave their lights on when they are going to sleep. I end up turning hem off or the older kids turn them off when they go to bed. I am normally up really late, so my light is normally on in my room. this past holiday we strung lights through the handrail of the stairs. I never turn them off because it helps going down in the middle of the night when all the lights are out. Other than that, we do not even leave the outside light on because we are lucky enough to have a street lamp right off to the side of our property. Very annoying! LOL

We always have a porch light on. I used to be afraid of the dark, so I always have a lamp on in the living room. I also can't see without my glasses and have to get up during the night to go to the bathroom, so I have a little night light in my bathroom. Also...my husband snores so I usually have the radio going most of the night so I can listen to it more than I listen to him! LOL

Our house is just the opposite, I want the TV left on and he wants a light left on. If the kids stay up later than me, surely everything will be left on in the morning.

Nothing, we didn't have any lights either on our porch. TV timers were set on so that it will automatically shuts-off when you dozed off.

All lights are out. I watch tv until I fall asleep, it's on a timer. That's it. Our lights go on automatically around the house from any motion. Sometimes a wild donkey or coyotte will set them on.

We leave a TV in the house on, so it looks like someone's awake. Which is silly, since the worst crime we've had around here is some counterfeit bills floating around and twenty years ago some migrant workers broke into a tool shed. But old habits die hard.

I leave on the light over the stove and I have a nightlight in the bathroom so if anyone stumbles in there in the middle of the night, they'll be able to get around LOL We sometimes leave the front porch light on, sometimes not. Depends if we think of it. We have a motion light near the back door that is always on (and regularly set off by raccoons or cats!). I couldn't sleep with the tv left on... my niece does this every night and has done so since she was a toddler. She can't fall asleep unless a movie or tv show is playing.
