I used to let my dog sleep at the foot of my bed. He was an inside dog and clean and he did everything with me.Thinking back I sure do miss him. Anyway now I have two big dogs that are inside and outside dogs and thats differant. My husband wuldn't let them on if they tried. They are lucky if they get on this side of the house! I sneak them over every once in awhile. If they jump up I hollar get off my bed they jump to the bed beside it, and I say no not that one and they jump back like its a game. Seriously they have dog beds, how bout you? Do you let the dog sleep in your bed??

it wasent a problem when he was a pup was only tiny now hes big i end up with a couple of inch of the bed when he stretched out
he likes to be comfy and will try get under the covers or under the pillows if he gets the chance

My dog has to be with me constantly. When I am in bed, he is with me. When I go upstairs or downstairs, he has to go first. He would knock me down the stairs if I went first. I tell my friends that I don't need a man in my life cause I have my dog and that's all I need. Fortunately though he was crate trained so at night he sleeps there which is good for me cause I only have a single bed and he takes up too much room!

I absolutely love dogs, but our dog is an outside dog. I have bad allergies, so the dog has to stay outside. When I was younger (and didn't have allergies), my parents let our dog on the couch but not the bed. I think the bed should stay off limits to pets, but I don't think there is anything wrong with letting them be in the house (unless of course allergies are an issue).

We have 4 dogs and a cat. We can'tkeep the cat off the bed, even though I am allergic and I chuck him off all the time. As for the dogs, one is too big, and he has bad knees so he can't get up on the bed. He's stretched out on the floor right now. We have a little dog who sometimes sleeps on the bed, but doens'y like it when anyone moves - so he ends up on the floor next to me by the bed. Our 50 pound dog sleeps on my feet every night. He sometimes doens't get along with the BIG dog, so if he's on the bed, he's safe from bumping into him at night. SO he sleeps on the bed. Our female dog, she gets up and snuggles with us for a bit, but at 80 pounds, she's too big for the bed, and sleeps on the floor by my husband.

I used to have an indoor dog. And yes, she always slept on the beds. I now have two indoor cats, and they sleep with me on the bed too.

Well, my dogs are not that large. I have a beagle mix that is tiny for her breed and she sleeps with us or the girls.:) She is also very much an inside dog, only going outside to relieve herself or to play with the kids.
Then I have a basset...which, he is quite heavy but not too large to have in bed. So he either sleeps with two of the boys or with us also.:) He is an inside dog that would rather be outside most of the time. So he gets baths often.
I wouldn't want it any other way. I love them as part of the family.
Maybe you should invest in one more dog...a little one. hehehehehe I absolutely love my dogs!!!!

I have a little 2 pound chihuaha and he gets to sleep in my bed everynight. If I shut my door before he makes it in, I will surely find him in bed with one of the kids. If he hears me up durring the night and he had to sleep with the kids, then he will run and get into my bed before I can shut him out again. He does have his own bed and blanket but does not use it unless we are eating.

No my dogs don't sleep on my bed, only because the cat rules the house and she sleeps there. They have big comfy beds though, if she would allow them on the bed we would have them in our bed.

yes, my dog sleep in bed with us since she was a puppy. When we bought her we put her in the master bathroom, but she started to cry. My husband said just let her sleep with us tonight until she get use to the house. That was 10 year and 6 months ago...ha but won't have it any other way. She is a Vizsla and just full of love.
