well i was watching the real world colorado and during the show one of the girls went off by herself to go and get her nails done. her directions were terrible so she had to continually ask for directions from random people from the street. while walking on the street many random guys where so called "checking her out" and many were giving her comments such as "nice butt" or "id hit that". hearing this from random people off the street, the girl got quite upset and decided to forget the nail salon and go home. at home she told about what happened and the people that listened really didnt help her, just made it worse. my question is is that if your wearing extremly short shorts like she was and most likely wearing a thong underneath then arent you trying to show off your butt? if people give you a comment such as "nice butt" isnt that what your trying to get people to notice, so shouldnt you be happy? for most guys when we see girls dressing some what stripper like we think of strippers and therefore say things to them that we would to strippers. i just dont get how you can dress slovenly like that and not expect anyone to say comments about your appearence. i am a guy so really dont know what the girls are looking for when they dress like they do. i just always thought that if your a girl and you dress when barely anything on then you are most definetly trying to get noticed.

I've saw the first show of Real World Colorado and I've lived in Denver. I notice the show was taped in near Colfax Ave in down town Denver. Now here's the thing about that area. It has a lot of strip clubs and hookers.
Happy New Year!

HAHAHA LOL. This is too funny! Of course I dont want to show my butt off lol. Last month I read cosmopolitan article "Is butt the new boobs?" showing up celebs with short skirts/tight pants. I think everyone has his own definition of being pretty or hot. Maybe their definition is "being hot is when you are confident enough to walk half nakedly and people stare and whistle for your body". I am a girl, I am sure those girls are happy and proud when guys stare at their bodies. They only pretend to hate them. That's my opinion.

Yeah , you're right. When women really don't want to show their body off they can cover themselves nicely and wear decent clothes. You cannot expect men not to look at you when u're walking alone on the street wearing shorts and a thong for christs sake! Men are gonna look , they always have and they always will.. SO if you girls dont want us to look you have to dress accordingly Or just be happy with what people say and "comment"..after all it is the men that you're dressing up for isn't it?

I have to agree with you. If you wear skimpy outfits then you are just looking for unwanted attention...or sometimes the girls want the attention...and then complain when rude things are said about them. If you don't want the attention then don't wear articles of clothing that will men leer at you...in public! Oh and it is not dress slovenly...it is more dress skimply....lol...

WEll girls DO love all the attention and admiration.. except for some who wanna dress without knowing what they might get. They must wear clothes they are comfortable in. Moreover, girls have a lotta 'natural' stuff to show off while guys don't have much :P

Just because you wear the outfit doesn't make those comments appropriate. She could have been going for that reaction or not, but maybe it being out loud isn't something she felt comfortable with.

Nice topic and i agree with your point. If you dress like that you have to accept these coments bacause it is your choice.

u r absolutely right! girls must dress up decently if they want to be respected.
HOWEVER!!!!!!! IF u r a decent guy, u wouldnt look at an indecent girl twice and u wouldnt pass bad comments coz doing that would only mean that u r urself an immoral person. See, it takes two to tango!...
i hope u didnt mind wht i said....its nt nything personal i m just giving an example...:)

I think that girls that dress like that to begin with are ignorent. I'd probably be the one going hey nice *ss. especially when you can see her thong through her white short shorts.
