We do have a babysitter and maid at our home because it is really needed. We are busy people and attending my niece and our house if not in our priority. Our babysitter and housekeeper is living in our home as well, eat the food we eat and use of stuff if the liked. You can get a hired servant and babysitter for a low amount of salary. Besides they really needed a job as life here in our place is not that good.

I don't have either but babysitters get paid $10/$15 an hour around here. I'm looking into a maid service at least once a month b/c I need some good cleanings every now and again. My parents pay $180 every 2 weeks for a maid service but their house is very big.

I do not have a sitter or a maid. I wish I had the money to hire a maid or housekeeper, but I don't right now. And, I prefer to raise my own child, instead of having a live in nanny to do it for me.

When we first had kids we did have a babysitter watch the kids but after awhile my wife and I decided that it was just to expensive to have one so we changed our schedules around so that my wife works in the morning and I work at night so we dont need to have a babbysitter we just watch them ourselves.

I am currently looking for a babysitter. as for helping with the house, no way i wish. i would love to have a maid. But don't see that happening anytime soon. That's ok, keeps me busy. And why should I pay someone else when my husband can do it for free. Hehe, just kidding. I can dream anyway.

I AM the babysitter, maid, chef, chauffer and more all in one. I have never hired such a person as I can not afford it as a stay at home mom. I know that babysitters in my area make around $8-$10 per hour which I find very high. Yes, I know that my children's care would be in their hands but that is a lot of money to pay a teenager to sit in my house, watch my television, talk on my telephone, and eat my food! Therefore, I don't do it. I only have myself or my husband, or family to watch my kids.

when we still had a maid at home, we pay her 3,000 pesos per month (60 US dollars). free of food, water, electricity. but i fired her since she's too lazy to do the jobs at home.

Unfortunately we can't afford a babysitter or a maid, in this period we have money problems, and so we have to do everything by ourselves.
Our son is 7, when I am not at work I always stay with him, we study together, I take him to the gym or to the piano lesson, we have dinner together and we watch TV together. We have no money, but we don't need a babysitter, I like to stay with my son.

No I don't. I do wish I could hire a maid but not one to live in my house. I'm too private of a person.
I'm not sure what they would be paid. Sorry I can't help with that part.
