My grandmother pasted away this morning. I just wanted to thank everyone for your responses and your prayers for her. I am sad but at the same time I know she is in a better place and not in pain anymore.

apky12 Everyone I know who has tried to gain weight and done it successfully has worked out and drank shakes. You can try the weight gainer shakes or just plain milk shakes.

Did you see the news? JAMA says that Atkins Diet is the most successful for losing weight. Have you tried Atkins? How did it work for you?

apky12 I could never try Atkins b/c I like my carbs too much. I am highly leery of this diet. I really think you need some good carbs in your diet to be healthy. I know that it works for people but I have heard it's not good for your kidneys at all.

apky12 Aren't kids shoes crazy amounts of money. I bought 2 pairs of shoes for my 1 1/2 year old this last winter. They were on sale for $30/each but they were regularly both over $90. That was so stupid. People pay it though.
