"lol"...What's that?

In many a discussions i read here the word..'lol' is very common. On checking the dictionary i found, it means, 'Lots O of Love'. But the meaning doesn't match teh discussions in which it has been used...so what does it exactly mean...

"lol" means laugh Out laud in real terms it is substite for smiling or when you feel happy or laugh, then you can say lol, abbreviation word. Hope you understand. :)lol

Yeah; but I find it that this meaning doesn't match in some discussions where people use it.

yea...lol means laugh out loud....u fiind dis mostly in chattin... v even use brb which means be right back

lol u dont the meaning of this word......It shows that u dont do much of chatting.....the meaning is clear and fine at the starting of ur discussion and mine.

hi . ya me also stuk with it i thought that it is a abusing word but today i read all . thanks to race this discussiion . sometimesi stuck with dude -- it uses for boys but what is the proper meaning lol .
