Do you think the rumors are true?

I keep hearing that in the last and final book Harry and Voldemort are going to die. In order for one to live the other must and vice versa. I think it would be a great ending, yet sad. I mean we have all connected with these characters for 6 books already, going on 7. The author definitly isn't writting some sweet fairy tale, each book is getting darker and darker. I also don't think that killing off Hermonie or Ron would be as great of an ending. What do you guys think?

Well, as for how the story is going to go I agree with you. As for dating her, well I don't know her at all nor her social contacts. However if you did, that is awesome. If you didn't, well why not boost your self esteem and try to make yourself more credible.
Thanks for responding, will be interesting to see if in the futre he does come back as a ghost...

I am one of those who wishes that nobody would get killed in the last book. Maybe something that looks like someone gets killed? I'm always hopeful to meet HArry one day working at Hogwarts at 60

while i really don't like fairy tale endings myself, i'd still want good to triumph over evil.

now that i think about it.. thats the only way that the story can end that both of them die.. well rowling is not going to leave voldermont win thats too evil.. and harry cant survive thats too fluffy for rowling.. so they both have to die.. ohh.. i cant believe that came out of my mouth.. :-(

I really don't want Harry to die. I'm not sure if she would do that or not but to me that would be like evil winning too much. I think Voldemort will die for sure, but I don't know what to think about the Harry rumors. I'm sure someone will die though, and I will probably be balling my eyes out just like the last ones.

I think so too. I practically grew up with the series; I was around Harry's age when the first book came out. The final installment's bittersweet for me, at any rate; I'm dying to see how it'll end, but I'm kind of reluctant at the same time.

I understand, that is the only part of this book comming out that I really don't like...that it is the last. Nothing to look forward too when it comes to this books end. But I am sure it will be a great book none the less.

I agree, I highly doubt Heremoine and Ron will be killed. They are major characters, however their dying wouldn't "end" anything.

I think there's a likely possibility that the rumors are true because JK herself said that two major characters will die in the last book. whether who they will be still remains a big mystery. I just hope that it will not be one of the characters that I love, I've cried enough for Dumbldoer and Sirius, as it is.

I am not sure what you are asking. However if you are talking about reading the last book. It has not been released yet. You can pre-order it however.

That would majorly suck and if JK Rowling writes it as good as she did when she killed Sirius off... I'd have to go the office wearing sunglasses. But I agree that it would be a great ending (of course I wouldn't mind if he lives, hehe), then it would be morbidly dramatic enough for me.

I highly doubt Ron or Hermonie would die. It just wouldn't make much sence if they did. What would the whole reasoning be?

ive heard these rumours too, but i think they are pure speculation...i am unsure about JK killing off harry for one thing, coz i suspect she will want to write another book later in her career

I don't know, she did say that this would be her last. Granted, she may change her mind after getting the break that she probably needs.

i dont think harry will die i think ron or hermonie will coz i think jk rowling may make another harry potter book in the future and make out this is the last so she can have a break and maybe write something else for a change coz everyone just wants more after eache book think she will leave it open for another book in the future which means not killing harry.

That definitly could be, she has been extremly busy since these books have come out and hit so big. I wouldn't blame her for wanting a break. I guess we shall see, not TOO much longer to wait!

I don't like the idea of Harry dying, and I think deep down, I don't believe he will. Though the books have been getting increasingly darker, ultimately it IS a children's series, so hopefully good will triumph over evil?

Yes it is technically a children's series, however people of all ages are enjoying her books. I think a trully good author is able to have a childrens book that captivates all audiences. Look at Disney movies...heck even todays cartoons are geared towards both children and adults. I think it is nice to have something in common with our children, it provokes conversation and a unity. I don't think anyone wants Harry to die, that would be pretty twisted if they do. However, not all stories have a happy fairy tale ending...that is life. Think of all The Grimm brothers stories for an example. Though it would be nice to have a happy ending, though I do doubt it.
