i always try to tell people what i don't like about them without hurting them. sometimes it doesn't work and people can't sense what i'm trying to point out so i have to be straight about it. anyway i always tell people what i think. i tell the truth to them and about them

I was an extrovert before my marriage. I got such wife who transformed me successfully into an introvert. Now I am relegated to obey her unplanned and unorganised orders. When I try to argue with her, she threats to misuse the women empowerment legislation. When reported to her parents, same was warned by them also. I am stuck up in a dilemma. I feel, we shall have to get divorce one day. Seeing all these circumstances, you can understand the situation that I cannot become straightforward person. I pretend to be happy but in reality It has been years when I really felt happy.

I am used to be a straight forward person but I've learned from my experience that some people often can't get over it when I told the truth. Thus, I'm now learning of expressing my point without hurting them. If someone is kind of a sensitive person, it will be better not to talk straight. How about you? Are you a straight forward person?

I am in business so it always helps to have a straightforward disposition...
However, because of the way my sensitivity works, I'll certainly become aware of anyone who is not being truthful with me and that can ruin a transaction.
On the other hand, though, this ability allows me to detect when others really like me and I am able to share direct and truly good feelings directly with them.
Luckily, because dis-honest people don't like being around me, I don't have to tell them what I think and that's a plus! :)

What you see with me is what you get. I am a very straight forward person. If you ask me a question I will try not to hurt your feelings but I will tell you the truth.

I'm somehow a something in the middle :) I'm straight forward when it's needed but in other times I just be nice and try not to hurt others or annoy them and use mild ways to voice my opinions .. but I keep good balance of different situations and never let myself be a hypocrite ..

I am a straight shooter but I don't aim to maime. I have a couple of friends that will say things and they just plain hurt. They justify it by saying they don't lie, but they don't keep their mouth shut or bite their tongue when they should.
You ask me something and I will tell you without a lie but I won't tell you something deliberately that will hurt your.
If I am talking and someone is BSing me I will confront them, unless we are at a party and there is booze. It's not worth it when there is drinking involved.

sometime i am stright forward, i tell the like it is, but other time i would just not show it and pretend everything is all good, it all depend on who you talk to, i guess tell them what they want to hear that is how i look at it :)

I am a straightforward person as I don't want to pretend and give people an impression that everything is fine though it's actually far from it. But I make it a point though to be honest and straightforward in some nice way possible coz I know for a fact that truth somehow hurts...
but if there's no other way to say the truth but in some hurtful scenes, then be it..someday soon they will just realize and learn to appreciate what I did. Godbless!

It depends from person to person. if i know the person well i will tell him straight whereas if i dont know the person i will say him after a while when he is ready to except coz at times people dont take it +vely and the purpose of saying them is not served so been straight forward doesnt mean that we should make them feel embarassing in public.

I have a problem about being straight forward.
It is not because I am fake but because I think a lot.
I always think of how that person will react or respond if I tell him this or that.
Let me put it this way, I am like terrible with confrontation and most of the time I try to avoid it. I know I should work on it, but it is something that I really have trouble doing.

Great post and quite a difficult question to answer. I believe in being honest with people but sometimes you need to present your response in a way that doesn't offend others otherwise you just become a rude and annoying person. So the answer to your question is perhaps that it depends on the circumstances and the situation. I've just realised that this response isn't very straight forward and perhaps I'm not at straight forward as I like to think... i'm so confused now... what was I talking about

In most of the cases, i am a straightforward person, but sometimes you need to be diplomatic in order to get your work done and so i do.
