can we really look to the stars (astrology, horoscopes, etc.)for guidance in decision making? is there a sensible reason to this or just plain non-sense? No intention to offend anybody, just want to know because lots of people do this especially as we enter the new year.

Astrology n horroscopes are all sciences in themselves.I have firm belief in them. For reaching a decision, you can fall back on them, provided you consult a person who knows it well.In today's world it is not easy to find a real knowledgeable person in this regard.

Here, in India, we do find some good astologers...we have something here, called as 'janampatri', these are your planetary positions at the time when you were born.According to astrologers, a lot of things can be predicted according to the time, place and planetary positions, at the present time. All this is studied in relation to the janampatri. They say, you can even predict what you will have for the next meal, which you still not have planned.Once, again I would like to say that the right person to do your calculations can work wonders.

See, janampatri is an astrological calculations, made on a piece of paper, which gives you the details of planetary positions, at the time of your janam (meaning your birth). Here, if you split the word janam + patri =janampatri.Patri means a piece of paper.
The future predictions are made on their basis. And, yes, once you consult an astrologer you have to pay him his fee. There, is no standard rule but ofcourse you have to pay them. But once again the important catch is you should be able to meet the right kind of person. There are lot of hoax guys too, its difficult to distinguish.
