is Michael Jordan still the best ever ??

theres no doubt that kobe is a very skillfull player and he is scoring a lot. but in my opinion it is a bit early to make comparations. Jordan still the best ever, he had shown many more regularity during his long carrer. lets kobe reach the end and then we will make the comparation

agreed Kobe is doin' gud but only in patches as he is not as and i believ' he can never be as conssitent as M.J. - moreover M.J. is truly god and there is no doubt that he is THE Greatest the Game has ever had'... oder than M.J. Russell was gr8 and Magic Johnson, whom I would rate 2nd personally - and he also played for Lakers and made them champions mostly...Kobe is no doubt great but certainly not greatest - as of now - I believ' Wade nd My Current Fav. Vince Carter - has it in dem - to over-shadow Kobe - gud luck!!!

I still think michael jordan is the best there was and the best there is. I don't like kobe and no way he's better than jordan. Simple as that.

MJ is the greatest ever. Kobe is great, my favourite active player and the best player in the world, but he's not gunna surpass Jordan, at least not yet. If LeBron keeps improving like he is, and wins rings; he might over take MJ.

Michael was certainly a gift to sport in general throughout the world. There will always be comparisons drawn against his benchmark achievements in basketball. I think it is players like him who have inspired new generations to achieve new heights in the sport & best of all, we get to see it.

Michael Jordan made his teammates better... I don't get that sense with Kobe. When Michael changed from trying to score every time, to doing more on the court, the Bulls became better, and so did the other individuals.

No yes he is but there are a lot of players like Lebron James or Dwyane Wade ore Carmelo Anthony who could be the new best so that i think the best would be forgoten in some of few years because big changes good for everybody . :) .

Michael Jordan is Michael Jordan, one of the best to have ever played the game. I believe he is the best in the position he played in, but being the best, hmmm... this could be some debate, I mean Bill Russell has more titles than him (11 rings). Kareem has the highest scoring total in all of NBA. I think its hard to say who the best player is but when you say the Best Starting Five, Michael Jordan a lock at one of the guard positions.

Definitely! I believe lots of players in the NBA were inspired by Michael Jordan. They idolize Michael and made them what they are right now. Michael Jordan will always be the best basketball player to ever play the game.

His Airness is a legend already. He can do it all. MJ was much better team player than Kobe. Bryant had so many issues with his teammates..including the issue b/w them and Shaq.

kobe cannot match jordan in terms of consistency and mental strength.

I think as of now there is still no one that can match MJ performance. He is still the best player that there is, the best there was and the best that will ever be.
