Insomnia or sleeping all the time is my problem. I will have insomnia for 3 months at a time where I will only sleep 2-3 hrs a night. No matter how tired I am I don't go to sleep until about 4:30 and get up at 6:30. I've tried all the natural and home remidies, took all the precription drugs, nothing seems to help. Then for the next 3 months, i just can't hardly stay awake; loose all energy because I'm so tired, almost like I'm in a daze -- sleep 10-11 hrs a night and still have to nap during the day. I just can't seem to get my sleep regulated.

I too have a lot of problems with sleeping most of the time. It is mainly because I can't seem to switch off my mind! The things I lie in bed and think about sometimes!!......... Have tried meditation, natural herbal remedies like chamomile tea etc Thankfully I am not lethargic during the day. I actually seem to function better on less sleep than I do on more!

I know sometimes my mind just wont stop thinking, but that's not always true. I've tried all the home remedies and RX meds -- nothing seems to help. It's miserable laying there all night long watching the clock.

I was having trouble with not sleeping at night and after seeing my doctor I was diagnosed with depression. He put me on wellbutrin and after about 2 months I was sleeping all night and didn't need naps anymore. I lost 15 lbs too.
By the way I see you have raised 6 kids, so have I.
