Questions on Shevchenko

Ever since the World Cup, we have seen a dip in form for the former sharpshooter of AC Milan. It is almost painful to watch him struggle in the chelsea team, almost like a novice. This is not doing justice to the player who once terrorise defenders in Italy and Europe. Where is the Shevchenko of old? Is age catching up with him or he cannot adapt to the Premiere League? Will a return to Italy help him?

Yes, a player who has found his niche in Serie A cannot turn into a novice overnight. Mourinho has not played him to his real strength and Didier Drogba is competing with Shev for the targetman role, relegating Shev to a supporting role. Maybe that is why Mourinho is on his way out...

Its a shame to say it, but Shevchenko just hasn't settled at Chelsea and its time for someone to be strong enough to hold their hands up and admit it. The player was an almighty expensive mistake. Its not the first time for Chelsea (Remember Robert Fleck in the 80's - 3m move from Norwich when that was a lot of money to Chelsea - only 3 goals...) or any other club to have taken on someone who didn't come up to expectations. So be brave and sell the guy on... we could buy two or three quality players for what he's costing us.

Jose Mourinho is not using him well ... At AC Milan he always relished the burdened of bein the sole striker...here hes got drogba who gets more oppurtunity..sheva is being used as a supporting striker..n i think the defensive mindset of his needs to be changed...he needs to adapt quickly to attackin play.. maybe in the next season we ll see better sheva .. just like drogba made a dramatic turnaround in his form...
