I have a friend who has a mother of five puppies but it cannot produce enough milk for them. Is it possible to give them pasteurised milk (those which we consume)?
I have read that replacement milk might work. Anybody has any good recommendations?

The puppies can not process cow's milk. The best thing to do would be to go to Petco, Petsmart, or any other pet store. They will have milk that is safe for cats, or milk specially formulated for puppies. They also sell little bottles to feed them with.
The absolute best thing to do would be go to the vet to get thier oppinion.

The vet can give the female medicine to help produce milk. Goats milk is also a good choice and I know several breeders who have used it.

Your vet should have Esibulac(sp) for new pups cows milk not good and will either constipate or give them diarrhea
