I always wanted to know whether terrorists took advantage of religious split between sunnis and shites... I was born and raised in India and know that politicians always take advantage of religious differences and try to split people based on there cast. It may have changed now and by no means I am implying that it always happens. I only mean that it has happened in past. Do you think people of Iraq have been splitted by terrorists!! Why would they kill each other!

Yes they did. It is well known. The Saudis are funding and sending Sunnis to fight against the Shiites since they don't like the Shiites in Iraq. Iran and Iraq are the only two countries in the world with a Shiite majority population and the Sunnis that are fundamentalist believe they are not true Muslims.
