did mel gibson bring grace to william wallace or did wallace bring name to mel?

in brave heart..did the charecter william wallace add onto mel gibson's charm or did mel gibson bring additional grace to the charecter??..do u think anyone else wud've done better?..if yes then whom do u think can do it??..and why?..discuss..

I think its a great movie. never heard of William Wallace before I saw it though. I definately knew who Mel Gibson was and was already a fan.

Extraordinary movie and its my favorite ever. Mil Jipson is creative and versatile person. i watched it many times, credit goes to Mil jibson a great director!

It was a fun film but as a historian we are all a bit embarrassed by the way he mangled the history. As a result of Braveheart a lot of visitors to Scotland think events actually happend that way, and of course he has mashed about 30 years history into about 2 years to create the fiction of the film. The princess for example, was a very small child when Wallace was killed, there was no romance between them. Its a very big problem in the heritage industry, lots of tourists are convinced the film is how history actually happened. Sad, because its a good film, it just didnt happen like that!

Well Mel Gibson is already one of the hottest Hollywood actor and even without William Wallace's movie he still stands out to be great.
