I got a computer in 1996 when i was 10, it was back when you had to listen to the comp. to dial up and connect to a line. Then it would take 10 mins for it to get to the site!!

I never thought in a million years that I would have my own computer but I received it so I could get a job online. I got my first computer in December of 2004 and got on the internet with my own computer in January of 2005. I never had dial up so I'm so used to DSL that I would never want to try it I don't care how cheap it is.

Sad to say, I was in college, in 1994. It was the days of dial-up and incredibly slow connections and I thought Riddler was the greatest site in the world.
When I tell my kids that I was 21 before I had the internet, they will probably look at me the same way I look at my parents when they talk about having no color TV.

Computers, the old fashioned way. eh? I got my first one in 1998, and it was the same way. In 2002 I moved in to my own place, and in 2004 I got a laptop. I was on dial-up with the laptop for a while, then in late 2004 I switched to hi-speed. I love it!!

It was in 1999. We got our first computer so we could email our daughter who was in the army in Europe. We got addicted fast! We started out with dial-up and only in the last year did we get aggravated enough to switch to DSL. Love the fast downloads and open pages! I can have several browser windows open at once, if I want to...it is very cool!
