What about RLS......it's keeping me up all night.

I have Restless Let Syndrome. It is driving me crazy. Just about the time I think I'm really relaxed and doze off to sleep, that little sharp pain and jump, jump, jump. I've tried turning over and over and over and nothing helps. I finally end up just getting up and moving around to try and get rid of this horrible feeling in my lower back and legs. Problem is, lack of sleep! I tried Requip, but when I take that, I sleep all day. Does anyone out there have this and what do you do for it? Please help!

My grandmother and my aunt both have rls. They both have taken Requip and had the same problems you described. My grandmother now takes Lyrica and she's very satisfied with the results.

Good luck and I hope you find something that helps. I can only imagine what that feels like.

I was diagnosed with it some 10 years ago-it started out just in my legs then progressed to my arms-they ran me through all sorts of tests including brain scans and Cat scans, they put me on Mirapex, but that has slowly lost its potency so they moved me on to Requip-which makes me sleepy and nauseous. I CAN SO RELATE TO YOU!!!!!!!

Thanks for responding. I sure hope you can find some kind of relief, soon. I have found that mine is worse if I don't rest during the day. I've learned to lay down for at least 30 mins. a day. But, even that doesn't always work. Wish they could find a miracle cure for this. LOL

I've been wondering if this is what is going on with me. I've been waking up a lot with my legs having twitches. Most of the time it is not painful but does wake me up. Then I have to stretch to get the sensation to go away. Most of the time I can go right back to sleep.
I need to ask my doctor about this. I can see where it could be a problem for you.
