What religion are you? I'd rather answer a question like " are you religious" Religion has been such a source of controversy since time began.
I was raised as a Protestant, but as I grew older and became curiousI began to see that there is one God, but many pathways to him.
Such radicalism over what religion you are is not taught in any scripture.
Too many wars, too many children dying, too many martyrs..........I just can't believe that these things happen in the name of religion, when supposedly religion is to teach love, spiritualism and just plain being a good person.
If we judge at all it should be on the basis of who the individual person is NOT his or her religion.
Let's show eachother some respect. I for one have friends and aquaintances of different religious backgrounds and all are welcome in my home. They have my trust loyalty and friendship based on who they are, not their religious background.
We need to educate ourselves and respect the aspects of other religions. I find it most interesting to converse with someone of a different faith.

Thank you. I feel pretty much like you do on this. I was raised Catholic by a Catholic school teacher, so it was strict. I go to church and am very involved, but I go to a Christian church. I respect all people as well and don't discriminate at all on religious, even though I was brought up that way. I feel it goes against the Golden Rule to not accept others. People do need to be more accepting of others beliefs.

I am a Christian, with no denomination at all. We are a worship church, and we are affliated with the Assemblies of God, but we don't even really say it. We just love and worship God. It is a wonderful thing to do and have in your life, as God provides for you whenever you need it, as long as you have planted seeds in other's lives.

Islam (Arabic: ???????; al-'islam (helpĀ·info)) is a monotheistic religion based upon the teachings of Muhammad, a 7th century Arab religious and political figure. It is the second-largest religion in the world today, with an estimated 1.4 billion adherents, known as Muslims.[1] Linguistically, Islam means to submit, and refers to the submission or total surrender of one's self to God (Arabic: ????, Allah). Thus, a Muslim is "one who submits to God".[2]Muslims believe that God revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad and that Muhammad is God's final prophet. The Qur'an and the traditions of Muhammad in the Sunnah are regarded as the fundamental sources of Islam.[3][4] Muslims do not regard Muhammad as the founder of a new religion but as the restorer of the original monotheistic faith of Adam, Abraham and other prophets whose messages had become misinterpreted or corrupted over time (only misinterpreted according to some[5].)[6][7][8][9][10] Like Judaism and Christianity, Islam is an Abrahamic religion.[11]Today, Muslims may be found throughout the world, particularly in the Middle East, North Africa, and South and Central Asia. Only about 20 percent of Muslims originate from Arab countries.[12] Islam is the second largest religion in many European countries, such as France, which has the largest Muslim population in Western Europe, and the United Kingdom

Smbilalshah, respect to you and may you live in peace. I was so impressed with your description of Islam, a fair and factual account, pointing out that Islam saw itself as a reformation of corruption was good where others, from previous experience, go on to be offensive about Jesus.
all the best urban

I will prefer to choose as my religion, the Christianity. But i belong to Baptist group. But i don't believe that religion can save man, no. It is God through Jesus Christ by faith that a man can be save from his sin, and not religion, or any other beliefs. Whether you are a baptist, muslim, catholics, budhism, you can be save as long as you put your whole trust to Jesus Christ, Repent from your sins, and ready to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour, you can be save. The Bible says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." It not that religion that saves man, Jesus is. According to John 14:6, "esus said I am the way the truth the life, no man can come to the Father but by me." Jesus is the only way to the father, not religion or denominations.

it is not so much what religion am I but what spiritual path I follow. I at this time feel that most at least those I have encountered, religious organizations are more business and political oriented than spiritual, and while many if not all may have intended or began with the idea of following a spiritual practice, it just seems that religion has been used more for controlling others and for obtaining power and personal glory than for spiritual values.
I suppose the best thing to say is I am spirutually eclectic. I take those spiritual ideals [often lost in religious dogma and rhetoric] that match my own, or I feel opened me to a new understanding and use those bits and pieces to create a spirituality that works for me personally.

I am a Muslim, and I'm proud to be one even the west world seems to hate my religion with no legit reason I think that's all right. They have the right to do that. After all, that's prophessed since 1400 years ago on Koran.
I just want to life what my religion had taught. Do the good thing and stay away from any bad thing in any means.
