The Comb-Over: Have you ever seen it work?

I began losing my hair at an early age... started noticing hair falling out around age 14. By the time I was 18, my hair was noticeably thin. At 22, I had the horse-shoe look... hair around the sides and back, but none on top.
I have been shaving my head for the last 5-6 years and I get a lot of comments and bald jokes. Most are NOT original.
Anyway, as a bald guy, I am always curious why some guys fight so hard to keep their hair or their appearance of hair.
The million dollar question: Have you ever met anyone who looked good with a comb-over?

I thought I had a decent one, but mine was more of a comb-down because I had I guess you call it a receding high temple. I grew my hair longer on the top, and combed it over the balding spots. I did for awhile, but my wife hated it, and now it is basically shaved. I am happy with it now, but it was tough. Combovers are tough to pull off, hope you can find a good one if that is what you want.

I am going to stick with the shaved look, but thanks for wishing me luck!
In fact, if I had to pick between a free procedure that would guarantee me a head full of hair or a $5000 procedure that would eliminate all of the hair forever... I would choose the latter... if there were such a procedure... and if I had $5000 laying around.
