Does anyone know very much about virus or virus protection/removal?? My virus protection caught it and is stopping it but it keeps comming back and I am constantly having to click clean file messages. The scan says that it cannot quarentene it or remove it, just block it. Any suggestions? I wonder if a differant virus protection could remove it?

I recommend that you use AVG, you can download it for free and it also updates so there's no problem regarding new virus. Also, use an internet explorer with pop up blocker. And you can also firewall some websites to prevent them from entering your PC.

Hi, maybe your anti virus program is outdated, if that is the case it could not really clean that virus. Try and update it then scan it again. Or you could try other anti virus program. Maybe it is a syware, in which case you need an antispyware program. Usually spywares and adwares are more annoying than viruses. I hope you'll get rid of that pest, good luck.

If the antivirus software cannot remove it, then do so manually.
Since your antivirus has detected it, then you should be able to check the location of the file by checking the settings in the antivirus program. Now just navigate to the file and delete it.
Some virus and adware programs will have a seperate file in another folder that scans the file and restarts it every time it stops, which will stop you from deleting it through Windows. If this happens, then start your computer with a boot disk and navigate to the file and delete it through DOS.

Just check what's the name of your virus, do an online search how to remove it. Enter a pc forum and most probably you 'll receive help how to remove it.

I reccomend Bit Defender Antivirus for you. It has got a very large database of virus defenitions which gets updated every day. It has also got a spyware remover. So download it from www.bitdefender.com and perform a complete scanning of your hard disk. The latest version of bit defender for windows platform is Bitdefender Internet Secutity 10.You can download it to try for 30 days(I think). If you need a free antivirus, go for Avast Antivirus (www.avast.com).
Please do a complete scan of your harddisk (all drives)
Avast antivirus has also got a memory scan by which it scans the files that is already in the memory.
My top suggesion is Bit defender and the second preference is Avast.
Hope your computer will be OK soon.

I've read through all the responses here and everyone is just pushing an antivirus on her, can you let us know what the name of the virus is that your antivirus is detecting and cannot remove? There may be a simple removal tool, or it may be a piece of spyware that another type of software may have better luck with.

I think you should format your computer is the best way of getting rid of viruses because in my point of view even after antivirus shows it has cleaned the virus it may not have cleaned it.

i will suggest that viruses are very dab there is no actual solution to them.if u even put an anti virus like nortorn or macfee your pc will be dam slow, also the file might have deleted of corrupted some of ur system file.So i will suggest to put the lastest Panda Antivirus .But before that thke a back up of ur c: drive and format it once u have formatted put the od back with panda anivirus latest or pccillin.

Sophos Anti virus is good. Also you may want to try and use a dos or safe mode virus scanner which should be able to delete the virus and stop it comming back. Some anit virus programs cant delete infected files when running windows.
Have a look at this link which describes how to use and emergancy copy of sophos (sav32cli)..

Change ur antivirus software, use norton corporat or mcafee instead, update ur antivirus softwares, almost all antiviurses have built in recycle bin called qurantine or virus vault so cehck it, if the detected viruses are there, make sure u delete them, also if u have shared something on ur network then stop sharing

Hello there.
I would suggest to use the Norton Antivirus protection. It is proven and tested to be the best Antivirus removal tool. You can download it in www.symantec.com. If you are done installing it, be sure to download always the latest virus definition of the Norton Antivirus. The virus defintion can be downloaded freely in www.symantec.com/downloads, i hope this could help you.
Best regards

If you get nortons anti-virus and a bunch of adaware blockers that should be able to get rid of the virus. If it doesn't go away then you may have to take your computer to a computer store to get it fixed. Good luck getting rid of the virus.
