okay so you hate us right? You say we have no right to invade other counties. But if you hate us so bad, why is it that your countires love our aid so much, We are in a national debt, due to the fact that our aid money to foreign countires has never been repaid, and probally will never be repaid. When you have national disasters in your counties, who is the first one to run to your country to offer help, troops and finacial aid? It's america!
Okay try this on for size, your country has been taken over by a cruel dictator. All books besides the bible are banned, no more books. All music is banned, so you can't listen to the music, and if you happen to have music at home., you will need to keep it very low, due to the fact, you can be beat listening to it.
You have some children, Your daughter have to be taken out of school, cause there is no school for girls, it's forbidden. You are a women, ou go to the local restraunt to eat dinner with your family. But when you get there the restraunt is divided into two sections, one for women and children, the other for men. You are no longer allowed to have a meal with your family, you have to eat seperate.
You are out in public with your teenage daughter, her head dress falls away from her face, someone sees this and beat the crap out of her, cause she is showing more than 1 inch of skin. All you can do is sit back and watch them beat your daughter. If you try to interfere, you too will be beat. You husband suscepts you are cheating on him, he can kill you and their is nothing that you can do to stop it, there is no one there to help you, and he gets away with murder.
suppossed you always had the dream of being a teacher, a lawyer, etc, but you are a woman. You will no longer be able to hold those positions, due to the fact, women have no rights.
so you have to go to an underground system to get a education secretly, because if your government found out they would beat you. and there are no more teaching jobs for women period. Women are not allowed to teach.
You are a man and you hate to wear a beard. but you government says you must wear one and it has to be so long, otherwise you will be beat!Do this all sound like a country that you would want to live in? What would you give for someone to step in and help you?krissy

I haven't heard anyone on Mylot saying that they hate Americans, just that they disagree with our policies.
The U.S. national debt has absolutely nothing to do with foreign aid. We give less than 2% of our budget to foreign aid. We are in debt because we are spending tens of billions of dollars PER MONTH on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Look at the reports that come out of Congress, they show how much we are spending (actually they understate it, some expenses are not in the budget bills).

ummm, we were Billions in Debt, way before these was ever started. I do agree that we are spending way too much money on these wars when there are people starving in the world, but yet, I don't see any of the countries refusing the aid, do you?

did you know that the usa is still paying japan for the pearl harbor attack-thats right. we blow something up, and we are right back rebuilding it. does any other country do that? we have plenty of americans that need help-has anyone paid attention to that? Time has come to look out for our own,.I wonder how many years we will be paying for iraq? And how about we get some oil over there, for all of the trouble wev'e helped them out with?

I have read a number of posts saying where they hate americans. They have said we should be punished for things our government has done. That we are cruel dictators who are trying to take over the owrld basically. The problem is whether they hate what the government does (heck most Americans hate it)or thier policies. Noneof those things have to do with Americans.

first of all it seems that u are more intrested ina whole lot of beating.
ok!lets start with your discussion,people hate america not because america sends out aid or like that but because america si making a mockery of democracy.
well where shall we start,lets start with vietnam.
1/just because america does not like communism it has to invade vietnam.do you know how many lost thier lives in that war?pls look at the image i have posted below.i do not hate america or anything like that but i think that what america is doing is highly unfair!2.now we come to iraq.so what if people in other parts of the world live differently than america.so what if they have traditions.oh no!america has to interfere.ithas to bomb them all out of the goodness of their heart and in the process so what if millions die.whats more it invaded iraq n a fake surmise,a guess and what happened the wepons of mass destruction were never found.hardly suprising,isnt it.but thats the way america operates now days.invade first,ask questions later.and you ask why people hate america?3.america is present day rome.like rome saw to increase its holdings and influence so does america.but remember nothing is forever.just as rome fell so will america one day.today america has very little friends left.already teh value of the u.s dollar is falling rapidly so much that the russian central bank ahs recently changed its reserve fro the u.s dollar to that of the japanese yen.

actually you are still viewing what happens on other countries through your american prism.first of all beating anyone is wrong.but u have to understand that in societies that are not modern as yours,that are backward like that of afghanistan,well religion holds supreme.so if the religion says that is is allright to beat your wife if she does not obey then that is what will happen.that is reality.and the women there accept this reality.you have to accept this as well if you want to respect others customs and traditions.if you do nt respect others well,they sure will not respect you!
also did you know that pakistan recently bought about a change to their rape law and now becasue of that all teh religious heads are all on the war path with musharaff!
you cannot expect everyone to live the american way and the american life!that will not just work.do not impose your beliefs on others ,that will not work either!

Human rights is not a uniquely American concept. Seriously, folks. Give it a little more thought.
Aside from that, take the time to separate these quant "laws", such as the whole honor killing issue, and examine whether their roots are honestly in proven religious teachings from a holy book or have come about over time via the mouths of assinine religious leaders and arcane local customs.

yep, More concerned on the beatings. These people were not animals and should be treated like an animal, I don't even hit my animals so what gives them the right to beat someone? Can you honestly say they should have been beat. Do you think it's right the girls can't go to school and they grow up and be stupid? In america we go to jail for beating an animal, a child or another human being!

I think we should stop aid to all countrie's, f-everyone else, let's help ourselves now. I do get tired of hearing how "I hate American's" and there is a post here about "Should we forgive America" It just make's me boil. We send so much money everywhere else, help these poor countries, send our troop's when they have emergencies, and for what, to get treated like the bad guy's.
What do these countries have to forgive us, our money, maybe our help with their natural dissaster's, I think they should just say Thank you and go about their day.
We should just stay home, let them deal with their dictator's with such ignorant law's. They have no freedom's and want to come to America, WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE!!! Sorry this really make's me mad

i agree with you here ,i dont know by what claim do they have the right ! to forgive ! america, if even america has done something so horrendously wrong to be forgiven for.
personally, i think they are just using big words with less meaning.
america is doing a gr8 job.
but i dont agree with your concept of backing away from giving help. thats a chhildish attitude .
things would be simpler if we could all consider the whole world as a single family, no concepts of countries and nations ..hehe ...a farfetched thought it is.

im english, and agree with you totally.its not just the usa that certain people dont like its the english as well.it gets on my nerves that the usa and uk try to help,and all that happens is you get put down for it.theres so many young people in the servicies loosing their lives. makes me think pull out let them get on with things.i like george bush, he said one thing after 9/11,you will be brought to justice.

Ah, Tiggy Ann,
Not everyone hates Americans. I have seen posts here where people say they hate Americans and or Mr. Bush. If you check the profiles of those people you will see that they are very young, and from countries that promote Anti-American propaganda. Quite often these young people are educated in religious schools that teach only the bare minimum apart from religion.
I often think when these young people get answers to those discussions, that show the true picture of the situation in some countries, they will start to think and maybe do some independent research before posting another anti-American discussion or before stating that Americans go to those countries and rape and kill the locals.
Just yesterday there was another terrible bombing in a Shia district in Iraq, taking many lives and certainly not committed by Americans. I often wonder if the press in those countries forbids the reporting of this type of terror.
I beg to differ with you on a couple of points. America is not in debt because of the amount it donates in Foreign Aid. Look at your spending on military.
If you give Foreign Aid you should not expect a pay-back.
I am Canadian and totally disagree with the American invasion of Iraq. They don't want you there, they do not want Western type of democracy, they want to be left alone to kill one another. Why does America sacrifice so many beautiful, bright, and decent young people to give something to a country that seems to oppose this kind of help.
Having said all this, I and I think most Canadaian do not dislike Americans, they are our good neighbours and we appreciate them as such, even if we disagree with some of their policies.

i also dont hate america and its people but i really hate american president BUSH.not because he destroyed many lives but because he always supports pakistan on one hand and shows to india that he is really our friend.moreover he tries to dictate our nuclear polices.for this reason i hate bush and american politics.but i have nothing to do with american citizens.

Me too, I like them as well. They are fun to be with, especially when they get their foot in their mouth. I love their vanity, most of all, and you can get anything out of an American. Just tell them how great they are, and all the aid flows in.

that makes no sense, due to the fact this is a nation of immigrants and there is a huge amont of people from your country here, they too are immigrants and some of them born here, which makes them born in the USA! There is a arabic store on just about every street corner here in my state.

I think that aid is the price tag, an obligation, that has to be met as u trespass.
I also think that the aid is not free, because you benefit a lot out of it, especially when u have to send 2nd grade school drop-out to do voluntary work wherever the aid is taken, so that the money is recouped back to america.
Somehow, it helps u with bringing kids up the productive way thru the US Peace Corps, otherwise they'd end up being hoodlums, thugs, and all.
I think u know what am talking about. (In short, the aid is a two-way traffic, it is not gratis as u look at it fromthe surface!)

Not true. Your debt primarily comes from the trillion dollars gone to fund the war.

Again, not true. In the recent tsunami, and the earlier Pakistan earthquake, Cuba was the main contributor of medical aid and assistance including qualified Doctors and nurses.
American aid is more often than not a pledge unfulfilled. Ask the Palestinians.

i must agree with idlewild nobody on mylot ever stated that they actually hate americans or america, they only disagree with american policies! i for once think americans are kind hearted and cooperative people! America did lend more than a helping hand when my country (Paksitan) was rocked by earth quakes and millions were killed! we recieved financial as well as military aid from USA theres no denying that! but the present governments decision of countinuing presence in Afghanistan and Iraq is being taken as a hostile take over or occupation and not as liberation.

I have seen many discussions in here about America and Americans and most of the time people all over the world are not against you, only against some policies that your president does. And from what I heard a lot of Americans also disagree. You have to see that sometimes you waste some of your resources to go to wars that nobody understands, I once read that USA needs from time to time a war to some of you earn tons of dollars in weapons and other things like reconstruction the places that US Army destroy, it´s a delicate matter in my case I don´t hate you Americans.

I don't hate Americans, I think they try to free people and people put it down to invasion,and if the stood back and did nothing they would still be critised, every country should be free to vote for the people to lead them, no one should have to just accept a leader because he has the power to kill people that don't agree with him, America and the United Nations have tried to set countries free and of course people critisise them no matter what they do because it seems to be fachionable to bash America,,well I am an Aussie and I love America...I say thank God for America or this world would be run by primitive dictators who have no understanding that every person in this world deserves to be able to live their life free.

Tiggyann and Bramley13, be it known to you today that it is not Americans or the British that most foreigners do not like - it is the hypocrital, imperialistic and piracy governments of these nations that perceptive individuals just cannot stand! When you have "model" governments that are known for saying "do as we say, not as we do," people just become tired and tend to detest almost anything said or done by these governments.
