moderators at mylot!

if you would do some research before posting such topic you would see that there are groups of ppl on mylot that already consider themselves moderators....they report spammers ect...they call themselves mylot police....and you cant always weed out the hatred this is a dISCUSSION FORUM where people are entitled to thier opinion and USE THIER FREEDOM OF SPEECH...if you dont like it move on and dont respond to the discussion.....

I consider mylot has it's own hidden moderators nobody can see them but all of us know that they are here. They make to us our payments and they take care of the site and i am sure that here are some moderators. Good luck!

I run several websites which are maintained by myself, and a few others, I would love to be a moderator for mylot, but I would to help keep mylot clean from spammers and people posting hate topics.

I think ppl here (any everywhere)are just opinionated.. i dont think it's bad. it's good to speak out - but YES - its a must to be polite even when you disagree with something/someone - considering you are posting on a online forum. i think mylot does have moderators but if they ever need help - i'm sure all of us would be more than happy to jump in to give a helping hand and clean up the mess.

Yes there is a lot of hatred going on around this place. If MyLot would have moderator jobs I would certainly apply for one. Who knows who would join but the good part is there would be better discussions and better content. I think that moderators could stop a lot of hatred discussions and statements before they were ever posted. Maybe we should ask MyLot about it?

Yes, very urgent we need moderators here to take care and vigil on unwanted postings.

There are actually moderators here, those that are not visible and those who are. The visible moderators are the actual members who post in the discussions that take place all day every day. That is why we have the rating keys, i.e. positive (+) for a good discussion, response or photo; negative (-) for those we consider offensive, cheating, spamming or whatever and of course the report to myLot (!), and all of these can and are used regularly I am sure. There are built in factors that allow myLot to determine whether or not the rating has been appropriate or not. I have been here for 5 months now and in that time I have seen a lot of discussions disappear off the board, in other words myLot deleted them for a variety of reasons but generally summed up as "no contribution to the myLot community". Also a number of members have been banned and others were warned, so a lot of the latter no longer come here to myLot. The reason for the ban or warning is generally because the moderators (members who post here) have reported these people. Personally I like the situation as it is now. There can be no complaints about the moderators, as it is the actual members themselves in most instances. Also if moderators were appointed as you suggest, then it would be necessary for them to have several from each country, so that someone could be here all the time, and there could be no complaints of foul-play or discrimination or whatever else you like to call it. Enjoy your time here at myLot, choose which discussions you want to respond to and just ignore the rest which is what most of us do anyway. :)

That sounds like a very good idea. You should suggest it to the site contact. I would love to be a moderator if they made them.

Recently over the last 2 weeks i have noticed that there is now mylot moderators. If you look at my post called mylot police you will notice someone called mylot_bryan who is a mod on here. So really mylot is trying to weed out some of the hatred and obviously some of the spammers on here. The hatred is all part of everyday life but there is alot of extreme religious views on here as well as alot of people who are copying and pasting everything. Mylot will have to take it a day at time and try and get one person at a time there is so many people on here it will be hard for them to do it overnight. I hope this helps nice topic. +

i havent read it yet...but if it really existed its mylot admin to try to warn them first ...and do some actions regarding their discussions...we shall not be too judgemental here right away...

Moderators were the most important persons in any forums as to safeguard both forums and members interests in the right manners. Mylot do have their moderators in places to monitors most of our activities here and the only question for the "Moderators" concern was....do they have enough of them to watch over the entire discussions forums with such a big number of populations? Anyway I think the "Abuse" features was the great feature for us to helping them to monitor on those abusive activities.

People are hatred my nature it is an emotion and sometimes you just can't help but get angry and mad at some of the stuff people responde with but never the less that is why there is positive and negative feedback and what you call hatered may not be that to someone else so who can actually determine what is hatred and what is just an opion.

Fortunately (as far as I know) I don't know about the hatred. All I know is that my star level decreased and I guess that means I must have gotten some negative feedback. But you are my friend and can't your feel the LOVE! ~Donna

Im glad you have noticed this my friend, i posted several topics regarding the need for a visible moderator in this community. Sadly it did not made it to the top topics, few people have found it. I have to say that its more than just a post, its a call/request to mylot. Lets just hope that someday mylot will see the real problem.

I will have to agree with you after seeing so many discussions where there has been lots of such unpleasant stuff. BUt there has been no moderations as well though they say it in the rules that there should not such hatred in the discussions

I would be love to be a moderator. I have seen some very hurtful things posted not just here but on the internet in general. I think thought that people should learn why something is considered to be abusive and wrong, I am sure a lot of people don't realize. I think other people should be permanently banned, some of them from the human race.
