Do you hug a friend when greeting them?

When I meet a friend out in public, I always give them a hug. The hugs I receive back vary. There is the side hug, where you touch shoulder to shoulder. There is the hug where you wrap both arms around each other and squeeze tight. There is the burping hug, that is the hug that someone gives you and pats you on the back. Whatever type of hug you give or receive, it is a good hug. Give a friend a hug today. Don't forget your family members too!

I am a hugger. I believe that people need more one-on-one contact. I am with you on the former boss though.

I always hug my friends, no matter where we are. If I don't know them well, I won't. The only family I have is my husband and kitties, and they all get a lot of huggies.

I like to give hugs, too. I think everyone needs a hug. I used to work with high school special needs, and some people told me I shouldn't do that because I might get in legal trouble. But, I kept right on doing it and never had a problem. I had kids coming in between classes just to get hugs.

ya hugging is a very common thing in india, many people hug in their own way but it clearly shows their interest in you,for example if one pats you on the back it shows his care towards you,if one
wraps his hands around you it shows his love towards you,you may think it's silly but its true you can try it!

I don't. There is nothing wrong with people hugging in public it's just that I feel uncomfortable when someone hugs me. I like my space. It is different if it's my kids or family though.
