I have heard a ot about this movie. they said that it is best to read the book first than watching the movie. To have a preview on what is realy happening on the scene. Well, that applies to Narnia, since the story did not recap on how it became Naria. But back to Eragon, I have also heard that authors of Eragon got their ideas from Lord of the Ring. I definitely love Lord of the Ring but on the 3rd part of the whole story , well it did not give me the opportunity to appreciate it. I mean , I do not want to exect a lot about Eragon , but I am hoping it will be much better than Lord of the Ring and Naria. Hey, what can you say about the story then?

It has been my experience to do exactaly the opposite of what was suggested to you. Watch the movie first. I read Dean Koontz's Phantoms, then saw the movie and was sorely dissappointed. When you watch a movie you are watching someone else's vision of the book, then when you read the book you get to expand on what you saw how you see fit. The same thing happened in The Lord of The Rings.

Well, it's about a farm boy who was chosen to become a dragon rider. He finds this stone (which he taught was a real stone at first but in fact it was a dragon egg) one day as he was hunting. As the egg hatched, Eragon's life totally changed. From a mere farm boy to a hero.
Some say that it's a poor man's Lord of The Rings, but I think that it's quite a good movie since the effects used was the same as what George Lucas used on Star Wars.
