Mikaelo You could try replacing your internet browser. From Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox...because the Firefox has a built-in pop-up blocker. If it still shows some pop-ups, I recommend installing Ad-Aware Professional...because it has an Internet Monitoring...

Mikaelo As long as it's not a Low-Level Format (Putting Zeros on your Hard Drive), you'd still be able to recover your files, provided that you won't install anything to it yet.
