Nooooooooooooooooooo, no cat. I like pets and have pets at home but they r few australian parrots and a sweet green parrot. So, i cann't have a cat at home as she'll eat my sweet green parrot and austrailian parrots at home. I never had any cat at home and dislike to have it as a pet as an ugly cat ate once my small beautiful chicken. Alas!!!!

Yes. They stay in a big cage (the birds, not the cats) most of the time. I came home from work one night and could hear one cat literally screaming. One of the birds had escaped from the cage and had him trapped at the end of the hall. The cat was absolutely terrified. LOL.
They have all at one time or another made the mistake of getting their paws inside the bird cage and have bitten by these birds. Parrots can bite really, really hard, thus they are afraid of being hurt by them. As long as the birds stay inside the cage, they are mostly fascinated by them, but they fear them when they get loose. haha!

Our cat Dakman is 17 right now and just now starting to slow down a little. We had to remove a tumor from his face and one of his eyes with it, and he's done great since then. I just couldn't see having to put him down when we could afford the surgery.

Definitely not a cat person, though my brothers cat is getting more stubborn as it gets older, I'm sure it is out to get me.

Our cat was 18 (I think) when we had to take him to the shelter. He started scratching my 2 year old daughter so my dad said it was time for him to go. He was just too old to deal with little kids in the house. We got him when I was 9 and he was our first cat ever. He was the only one that lasted. We also brought his sister home with us. After they had kittens we got rid of the female and the kittens but kept him.
He was my mom's baby, lol. His name was Magic. We had many cats during the time Magic was with us. When we got rid of him we had 1 other cat--Folly. She was about 8 years old. She was a nut. I found her in an alley when she was a kitten. She was barely big enough to be away from her mother.

I had a lilac siamese cat. He lived for 17 and a half years. I had to put him to sleep, and I did it in my lap at home. My heart broke. This is 14 years ago, and I still miss him a lot. He was the most affectionate loving smartest cat I have ever had.

Out Oldest Farm cat was named Kissy Mama... She was pretty weird she was a Vegetarian cat. Ate only potatoes, greenbeans. Would not touch meat at all, or cat or dog food.
She just got old...
1983-1999 = She was 16.
The Next oldest Were Stormy and Moochum Both were 11 and siblings.. They were normal dieters
Then Comes Radar she was 12 years..
She was a miracle she was not suppose to live past one year.. she outgrew seizures turned out to be a very good cat, and also a legend to all who knew her, as well as to my internet friends who heard me often Share many stories about her.
The Average life or our farm cats is 3-10 years. The three years are from half of the blood line the other blood line, lives longer. Vet said it is purely genetics.
