I like the iPod. I've had some form of it since it first came out. Have you seen Microsoft's Zune? I haven't used it yet, but from what I've seen it looks pretty slick. The screen is a little bigger, but you can turn it on its side to watch movies in widescreen. It is competitively priced with the iPod and allows you to share songs with your friends (you can only play them for 3 days or something). It uses something called Zune Marketplace which is a lot like iTunes. I'll probably stick with my iPod because I don't want to invest another $250, but the Zune does look promising. Based on Microsoft's successful track record, it is bound to be a winner.

Most of the new players are not comparable to the iPod. They exceed the iPod by far.
I think the iPod is kind of behind now. Doesn't do as many file types, doesn't have radio, the price is high but not enough features, etc.
I wish I bought the Creative Zen. But even my SanDisk Sansa beats an iPod as far as features and file types go.

I'm only familiar with the Ipod too, so I don't know any others just yet.
