at what age can u say that u are an adult?

Well i feel u can say u are adult when u started enjying being alone and can get an get in few extra shot of vodka without getting drunk..lol.When u start getting attraced toward the 'not so good things'.

i've taken a short look on the answers here...most of them act normally and the fact is that they are absolutely right about this..when you are well responsable on your acts and don't depend permantly on others,make a stabile family and take right decisions=then it's a way to a complete maturisation..i like this time i'm living in and we should let the nature follow it's natural path because we will surely reach this complete process..have a great day!

Most would say eighteen.Even some thirty years olds don't act like one though.

I'm 28 and have a baby and I still don't feel like an adult. :) I guess you are an adult once you are on your own and responsible for yourself - up to a point. I mean, a 40 year old still living at home and taken care of by his/her parents might be an exception.

When you sacrificed your wants, time, needs, ideals in favor of another person (when they need it most), then you're an adult, because you learned the act of "self-giving".

i suppose that legally in this country anyway, you are an adult at 18, but i think you are truly an adult when you feel like one. i feel like an adult now at 27 but 5 years ago at 22 i still didnt. i think everyone has their moments when they feel like a little child again though.

Legally it is 18 in most places, but a teacher once told me that the definition of being an adult is knowing your own mortality (knowing that you will die). So, I guess it depends on who you are asking.
