I used to sell on ebay and one day, I was responding to an email from one of my purchasers. I always liked to call the purchaser by their first name in my emails to them. So, on this one, I said "Hi Nancy!" It wasn't until I had finished the email and hit the send button, that I realized I had addressed her by the wrong first name. So, I immediately wrote a second email to her to correct my error! "Susan, I am so sorry, in the previous message, I addressed you as Nancy!" "Please understand that this was the very first mistake I have ever made in my life. However...if you would be so kind as to go down to the courthouse and legally change your name to Nancy, it wouldn't be my mistake after all, would it?" When Susan replied, she told me I had just made her day! She had been a grump that morning and after receiving my email, she brightened up. Have you had any similar funny experiences?
