I am Scared to post responses to any topics

With the amount of people getting banned around here, and for reasons I have yet to get, from what I have seen these people are following rules yet getting locked out anyway. I know this is because certain people will follow these users around complaining and reporting and Mylot just bans them, without even telling the user what the did "wrong". I was away for a bit but have come back to find it has gotten even worse, it has gotten so bad I am afraid to post in any meaningful discussion, am afraid to insult someone, disagree etc, as I am afraid I will become another casualty. Why would someone follow people around reporting users for disagreeing with them?

Mylot is not harsh to remove people from membership unless they fail to follow the rules. So therefore you do not hesitate to post responses to good topics. Do not answer silly questions like:
Coke or Pepsi?
Coffee or Tea?
Where are you from?
What is your age?
Also while responding, make sure you know the topic to answer and make it descriptive with atleast 2 to 3 sentences.

All my responses are great well thought out and i do not respond to ridiculous threads. However it is not true that Mylot only Bans people who do not follow the rules, i know two users that followed the rules every which way, and were banned due to cyber stalkers that they disagreed with going behind them for days and !ing them for no reason

That's scary.. I mean, you do everything right and you still get banned coz some weird cyberstalker suddenly decides that they don't agree with some particular opinion of yours? If that's the case, then I'd rather not post on controversial or serious topics and stick to discussing stuff like 'what's my favorite dinner' and 'different reasons to drink diet pepsi rather than the regular pepsi' etc.

I agree with you. I'm glad Mylot is banning the people who post the two and three word topics, and I'm trying my best to stay away from lame topics that I can't post at least three sentences to in response. Mylot doesn't want their server space wasted.
On another note, people who post thank-yous to everybody who replies to their threads might also be getting banned for doing that. Just a guess, though.

Yeah, I feel you. Personally, I do it anyway. I haven't had trouble yet, but hopefully my rating will save me from anyone who decides to have a vendetta against me. This will be my evidence in case I suddenly disappear. I AM NOT BEING HOSTILE, JUST HONEST!!

Well, in my opinion, it's necessary to hold on to the principles. Only in this way can we have a good environment to discuss and we can talk about more meaningful topics.

only cheaters and spammers are being banned here.so no worry for people like you.i dont think mylot will take hasty decision if somebody disagrees you and give negative rating or reporting. But always try to answer for discussions which are following guidelines and hence doesn't repent for deletion of posts and also rating.

I don't believe in stalking anyone. I have given out very few - and only a few !. I haven't heard about tons of people being banned, but I have heard of people being rude. Maybe that's why they were banned?

nah these people are not rude at all, there are certain people chasing these users around simply for disagreeing. I report people who copy and paste, as should everyone

I, myself, can't see reporting someone for what they give as their opinion. I have never and I never will report anyone. That doesn't say, others will not want to report me for what I give as my opinion. After all isn't that what people want in the first place, when they start a discussion? But that's just my opinion.

I am not scared to post because I am following the guidelines. The best thing which we can do is follow the guideline and do not partcipate in useless disucssion. As far we maintain good quality topics and posts no one will ban us. We should not do spamming. This will also help us to make this community much better.

Yes i do not agree with spamming and I hope that mylot starts focusing on those certain users instead of ones that are voicing their opinions within guidelines

well, you don't have to be that scared to respond to any post as long as you follow mylot rules, use proper words and does not offend anybody... so, just take it easy and get involved in the discussion as much as you can...

its sad that the minus button is being abused in this way
hopefully mylot will investigate people with numerous minus and find out why before they bann them instead of jus takeing the word of our peers who are not always honest jus upset over certain issues that cause disagreement

Yes, and I hope they see this advice and do something with it. The problem with places like this, where someone can decide the fate of others, there are always someone to ruin it for everyone else. But that's just my opinion.

i get your point! i also feel that way, i mean lots of people are actually reporting you to the admin if you disagree with them. it seems like its the price of being honest. LOL plus lots of member are creating their own boundaries, declaring their agendas of catching members and reporting it to myLot. one member says she'll report you if she thinks your post is all about hatred. i mean? where's freedom? should we really confform on what they want?

lol exactly, it's the little cry babies or hatred filled people trying to ruin a good thing, i could understand if someone is cussing and peopel very very extreme but everyone has a right to their own opinions!!!

Obviously such fear will hinder abundant and free posting by people. It would be very bad for mylot. Sometimes the complainers and critics need to be ignored.

You said, you are scared to post but yet you do post and make responses. hehe.
I know what you are trying to say. I kinda feel the same way too, when my friend told he got banned from mylot. That scared the hell out of me.
Also, last week I have like 230 posts and now it's down to 220.

i found the best way to addressthose type of people is not to reply to the post they make in your post that usually works for me i`s a shame that we just cant wipe those ones out ourselves as in other sites but thats the way i deal with them and any negative responses after giving them a negative rating

wow. i havent had that problem yet. i've been here for about a week and i havent seen this. i dont think posting responses that are good and have good quality will be a problem for you. i'm sure you haven't insulted anyone. i dont know why someone would do that they are just stupid and immature. they need to grow up. i dont do that to people that disagree with me. they have a right to their own opinion and if you didnt want to hear what people think then why did they post the discussion in the first place. ya know?
