ENCOUNTER FOLLOWS: One night, feeling rather tired after working all day, my husband decided to go on upstairs to bed. I remained downstairs in my computer room, finishing up some email. About an hour or so later, I looked up to find my husband standing in the doorway with the strangest look on his face! He proceeded to tell me that while waiting for me to come to bed, he had apparently dozed off. He was awakened when he felt the bed move as if someone was sitting on the edge of the bed. Assuming it was me, he spoke but no one answered. He then raised up from the bed to find no one there. He thought that maybe he had been dreaming so he laid back down and fell asleep once more. Shortly afterwards, he was awakened by the sound of footsteps coming through the hallway and into the darkened bedroom and once again, the feeling of someone sitting down on the edge of the bed. Sure that is was me this time, he raised up to find no one there. This brought him downstairs to where I was and where he told me what had happened. It has been nearly a month now since this occurrence and it hasn't happened again. So...who knows???

a ghostly mouse - picture of a ghostly computer mouse! Oooh, scary!
I had a friend who had something similar happen to her once. Perhaps she was dreaming, perhaps not. It only happened at her grandmother's house, though, and not really at her own home. She had the sensation that someone was laying in bed with her when there was no one there. I hadn't thought about her telling me that story for years until you just now reminded me of it! Wow.

I wasn't asleep at the times when I've felt my spirit present. There was definitely something there, although it wasn't visible to the eye.

Wooooh, spooky! But seriously, it could be a very vivid dream. When we sleep, there's a time during our sleep when we seem to be half in and half out of consciousness. So maybe your husband was dreaming about something and just seems like it's very real. Then again, unexplained paranormal phenomenons can exist, so who's to say if something didn't happen that night? Hey, post again when it happens again!

My brother used to have similar things happen to him in a house he lived in. It happened regularly that it seemed someone was sitting on the edge of the bed. One night he sat up and told 'it' to go away and not come to his room anymore. It never happened again after that. So who knows what it was.

Very interesting! Please let us know if it happens again or if you and/or your husband experience any other strange events.

You should place a camera in that room, it must be some thing other than human ! or may be just a dream

That sure sounds spooky... The 1 time that I felt the bed moving was when there was an earthquake in 1 of the neighbouring countries.

Could be a ghost since he came down looking for you it cannot be a dream, maybe you must check with the history of the house you are living in, it must have been just a friendly ghost, but i would have got real scared in the situation

Maybe he has realized he's in the Matrix and looking for the way out? Call him Neo. Either that or he's dreaming it all. Ive dreamed stuff and absolutely certain I was awake for it. Even had conversations I were certain happened, until I spoke to the person I was apparently talking to and found out it was all a dream.

See I don't believe in ghosts existence in this world.I think it was just a brain hallucination or just a dream as you said that your husband was very tired that day. Also it never happened again in his life right !.. Then it was a dream and nothing else..there is nothing to be panic and worry..

I've had the same feeling a few times, on different nights. Sometimes, I can even feel a pressure against my feet or legs, or the duvet weighs down on me. I've got used to it now, as it isn't the only presence I've had, there have been other spirits about, and it's not an aggressive spirit, so, I just ignore the fact that it might be there. I'd be interested to know, (if you can remember), approximately what date this was, if you wouldn't mind telling me, please?

I used to have a student who told me a very similar story. The difference was that he was the one on the computer and the wife being asleep. He felt his wife calling him by her nickname several times, sound of movement, the sound of footsteps and all that. Finally, he went to where his wife was, to ask her what she wanted, and found her completely asleep. He said that at that moment he felt really scared... I don't have an explanation to this, but I'm telling this story to you so you know there's more people around who have experienced the same. :)

My guess would be it was just him in a half sleep state waiting for you. Like dreaming. If it had happened again or does happen again then I woulld think more along the lines of a ghost or something. Since I have moved back into my mothers house 6 yrs ago. I frequently fell something sit on my bed near my feet. Sometimes I fell something touch my lower legs or foot. It happens so much that I have grown accustomed to acknowledging it's pesents..lol I haven't seen anyone yet..

Could be that was the silhouette that left your thoughts when you were daydreaming, or possibly you were too tired and felt had that approached you according to me not need to in cared, again did the work and not need to in thought about what.
