Was friends TV series one of the best comedies ever

It was my favorite TV show,tho I don't know about 'the best'.. There are lotsa good comedy TV show,and I can only say that I like Friends better..and Joey (you can almost say that it is a sequel about Joey -my favorite character on Friends)

i think friends will remain one of the best tv series ever... i wish they had gone on a bit more... i have all the episodes on my comp... have seen each episode ten times... i never get bored... they acted superbly...

I prefered Seifeld, I thought they were so real I actually knew people like them and they were so funny....

Yes,it is the best comedies ever. even today i watched it while taking a break between study. i think it is because of its secret recipe. If you're a die hard fan of friends,you'll easily notice that every single episode contain not one,but at least 2 different storyline run parallel...usually three. 1. The first is the main storyline of that episode.Sometimes expand 2-4 episodes after it. Eg:About Ross's difficult relationship with Rachel. 2. 2nd is the side story. It's usually not so important,just to make many jokes out of it. Eg. About Phoebe's weird 6th sense or Joey's acting. 3. 3rd is so not important,very light that we never really noticed it...usually slipped in between,very short. Eg. Gunther's crush in Rachel,Joey's duck & chick. Of course the 1st and 2nd storyline really connected in a sense of jokes quality and quantity. If the 1st is quite sad or serious,then the 2nd has to be more funny. Sometimes the writer simply put 2 of the 2nd type without the 1st. But a good show doesn't always has more storyline in one episode. For example Everybody Loves Raymond. I also enjoy watching it and this show doesn't usually has many storyline in one episode,but sometimes it does. Eg. If the episode about Raymond lying,then the episode would evolve just about that topic. Still it is a good show. Wow i'm really being technical here..hehe sorry. In conclusion,Friends is da best!

I agree it's one of the best tv shows ever. I miss it terribly, but thanks to DVDs, I can watch all 11 seasons over and over again, their jokes never gets old for me.

I always dug Friends and I still watch reruns sometimes, but my favorite sit-com is Cheers. Of course, I've already seen them all at least a few times, so I rarely watch it anymore. I'm not sure Friends is one of the best sit-coms ever, but it's a pretty good one. I've been getting into Arrested Development a lot lately, too.

I what very accessible for everyone. Most comedies are for a specific audience only but almost everyone loved friends, that made it quite unique indeed.

Friends was definitely one of the best ever not quite sure if i can rank it as exclusively the best ever. 3's company stands out as well. though it did not stretch that long. BUt friends was definitely a great show that makes u firget all your daily problems

Definitely one of the best ever, 3's company too ranks really high. it was a legendary show, really funny as well. did not go along for that long though. but friends was damn good. Really does make u forget all your problems

Definitely the best! I know the show is over but I still keep watching reruns. The show is very hilarious. For 30 mins. they make me forget all my troubles and just have fun. Friends forever!

There were many great TV sitcoms, but I think none of them can really hold a candle to Friends, the punchlines were impeccable, the story fluid and continuous, and of course, the chemistry between all the characters were simply unmatchable.

Well, it was one of the best comedy series ever, but if I had to choose THE best comedy series then I would go for Seinfeld. Seinfeld had all the ingredients that make a hilarious show. In friends you would have some very good episodes and some boring ones, but in Seinfeld every episode made me laugh my lungs off.

it is one of the best comedies ever. it seems so real that i can match some of the instances from my own experiences..
