i have two children, 6-8, M-F, and neither of them are creative enough to find something to do.
they dont know how to sit still for 3 minutes, unless they have the playstation to gogle at...
Do any other parents out there have any easy home remedies that can be executed on a low income, that can amuse two children for 10 miutes?

Take them to a thrift store and buy toys. Let them pick out what really appeals to them individually. Also they could pick out some shirts to wear while they paint nice pictures as to not stain their good play clothes. Also,
mine loved making cookies with me and spooning the dough on to the sheet pan. Now mind you some were different sizes and that was OK. It just meant some were chewy and others well done. It would give them such a fun sense of accomplishment. Teach them how to sew with a neidle and thread and make play clothes for themselves from fancy clothes (material) from the thrift store. One they learn, they'll focus on that for period of time without you. Also, let them watch TV and take a nap for an hour. Lay with them and you rest also. The quiet time usually restored me to sanity.

I am a mom on a low budget u would be suprised what u can do..Go to a local track let them run around it while you walk.Find a new park u have never gone too a few towns away.Find hiking trails bring there bikes let them ride the trails or just teach them about the trees..Decorate pumpkins..Sometimes kids lack imagination but we can help them find it.take them to the library let them pick out some books..Buy some cheap stuff and help them make costumes..Or gather some leaves and stuff some old clothes for a scarecrow for the front door step..

These two sound a little bored, sometimes we all need to burn off a little energy, are you spending enough time with your kids or are they growing up with out your positive input, these little things do make a huge difference you know...

I am assuming from the tone of your post that either these are not YOUR children or you only have them part time. Have you ever tried talking to them? What do they like to do? Where do you live-is there a park nearby? It is fall and the leaves are changing. Gather leaves-you can press them between wax paper to preserve them. Get a book from the public library on leaf identification or how to do crafts with leaves. You have access to the Internet so look for word games and puzzles. Are they boys or girls? String games are fun.(Cat's cradle etc.)By some bubble gum at the Dollar Store and have a bubble blowing contest. Read Harry Potter or some other childrens book out loud.
Cherich this time because in a few years they won't want to spend time with you especially if you ignore them now.

Do you play board games with them or are they able to play one together w/o fighting?
Normally in the evenings our kids get restless so we get out the board games or we take turns reading to each other. Shhh sometimes we play a little ball in the house, but that's our little secret. :)
