homophobia?

i heard in the news that public guest houses and hotels could be fined for refusing to let gay couples stay. i started talking to my freind about this. we arn't gay but we have a few gay friends because his sister is gay. from his point of view it would be totally out of order to refuse them entery. he also said 'so what if i and another straigh male friend want to share a room as it would be cheaper. would we be turned away?' but i was more stuck on the fence. gay couples should have the right to move about the land as they please. but with political correctness i think we are being forced to accept and have tollerence for everything at the moment and maybe not everyone is ready. so inevitably this will cause more trouble. the law can protect people from being discriminated against by companies. but it's harder to enforce it on people. if i was staying in the hotel with gay people sharing rooms it wouldnt effect me. but we also have to be sensitive to those with stronger christian values or other reasons for opposing it. the landlord may feel abliged to concider those wishes of it's other guests. what do you think...

I really don't see the problem. Two males rent a hotel room. Two females, rent a hotel room. Folks can start guessing what is going on in the room, or folks can go about their bible reading, or flagelation session as they will. You want CCTV, so everyone KNOWS what is going on?

I don't think it's any of the hotel's business what people are doing in their hotel. Spying is like a peeping tom thing so that's not allowed. My question is, "Why do people care? Gay people aren't harming anyone?"

Well, putting aside views on homosexuality, this all sounds just like segregation. Separate is not equal, and we all have the rights to the same things. This is why buildings have to be handicapped accessible. They have to be gay accessible too, because they are people, and citizens, and at least in that sense deserve equal treatment.

I don't think anybody should be judged. Wether it's two guys renting a room, or two women..we don't know what the heck goes on behind closed doors! They can be straight or gay, who cares? It's theirs and their business only and no one else's and the ones who always snoop around, trying to find "bad" people, well, get a life and leave the ones who have a life in peace.

I am against homosexuality but i am not homophobic. They are all human and sometime we have to accept that some people make mistake. I never regard them as animal but what should they know is homosexual is really disgusting and what they do are all on the basis of lust. God provide us with mind to think and reason. What if happen if everyone here is homosexual? No natural process, no offspring and doomsday. God gave us guideline on how to live peacefully in this world but we are stubborn to follow Him. Men are biologically created for women and vice versa.

Speaking in terms of legality, it wouldn't make sense, Hotels are still owned by buissnesses unless you are talking about B&Bs. I also don't believe that you if you are staying at that hotel and see zed couple can do anything about it, but thats just like going up to the couple and asking them to stop loving each other, you won't accomplish anything, besides upsetting the couple. Its just like the christians trying to push out gay marriage, its christianity its not anything else, besides its a state marriage, not a marriage carried out by a church.
