I have a home based business. Since I started this business, both of my cats enjoy going to work with Mom. They lay on pads directly behind my chair. When I leave the room & don't come back right away, they come find me. Granted it is the only comfortably warm room in the house until Dad comes home, but they still love working with Mom. They are too much fun!

I know what you mean.. heheh I am out of work on disability so I am on my computer most of the day. And beside me is the cat, dog and bird. All making sure I pay attention to them instead of whatever I am working on. lol
But when I worked in a Group Home I used to sometimes bring a pet to work for the day. I even brought my Sugar Gliders once or twice. And bringing my hermit crabs was always a big hit with everyone.

Hey, my cats come to work with me too. I also work at home and they keep an eye on me. I can think of a lot worse co-workers than cats.
I think in general cats are relaxing and peaceful and I find that when they are around me that rubs off on me, so I am happy to have them near me when I am working.

How cute!...I wish I could find a way to pay the bills at home, cause I hate leaving my cat! I miss him so much when I'm at work, but he makes it worthwhile when I come home. I can tell you love them, and they love you...enjoy it!

A few years back I worked at a small family owned insurance office and I used to be able to bring my cats and dogs to work with me at the office. Of course most of the customers realized my love for animals and they were fine with it. I saw on a television show that some companies now allow their employees to bring their pets to work with them. Having a pet at the office evidently cuts down on stress at the office and improves overall work performance.
