Saturn returns to its natal position every 29 years and normally has a huge impact on something in your life that you have not dealt with. When I was 29 my marriage broke down and although it was me that ended things it was like it was out of my control and I found this a very hard time.
What experiences and challenges have you been through when you went thru a Saturn Return (age 29 or 58)??

Dear friend,
Saturn is not bad for everyone.
may be it is not favouring you due to it's positionin your natal chart.
Some people reach their heights in the period of saturn only. If it is not favourable for you , it can disturb you for long.Have patience & keep your mind cool thru meditation. This is the only way to fight against misfortune caused by saturn.

transcom or whatever your name is, these discussions are general not just for experts! If you do not like the comments then move on my friend.
There is nothing childish here, or perhaps that was envy talking as your discussions dont really seem to be noticed.....
I found your comment rude, and ignorant. You may seem to think your the expert but in my books that is ego and just shows your true ignorance to the conversation.
Sorry Arpita0301 that this comes via your comment but Transcom left his attached to yours rather than just leaving his own!

Thank you so much for your response. Its nice to know others out there can see the meaning in these discussions. I found what you put very interesting and insightful.
My partner has been practising astrology for over 12 years, he has a degree in it as well and has had his own website for 2 years so I tend to learn a lot from him.
Goes to show you cant always judge people and state they are amerteurish and childish.

To add to this, I have found this forum the least childish in it's discussion about astrology. Every other forum points toward horoscopes. I cringe. Mind you I'm not in allot of forums.
Perhaps if you feel people are not on the right track in regard to planetary forces then you could point them in the right direction.
It takes many many years to become a good astrologer. There is allot to learn.
If I may comment re Saturn - it is on my Midheaven and square Mars which is on my Ascendant, so I get to learn a bit about Saturns teachings.
A Saturn return usually creates some form of upheaval or change. This can be felt smoothly or not. Around the age of 29 people are reaching one of their first levels of maturity. A time when they stop and ask "So what am I doing with my life? Do I like my job? Is it fulfilling?
There is a lead up to this transit and things in your life have already begun to change in readiness for something new. A relationship may have ended (interestingly my marriage broke up when I was 28, my divorce came through at 29).
It is a time of endings and new beginnings. I traveled when I turned 30, then I ended up with a promotion and moved towns when 31.
Seriously on reflection, my marriage was inappropriate. I was too comfortable in my job. I ended up becoming a Manager as a result of my move.
This is a real important time. You think you are mature in your 20's. Your 30's are much much better. And you actually do grow-up as a result of your experiences.
If you don't go with the changes, then you will have a second round of this when you are about 58. And if you haven't moved at all you are going to be in for a very rough ride.
Saturn is great, it teaches you. It also makes sure you don't stuff up too much. It creates boundaries, makes you stop and think, gives you maturity and with a bit of self-reflection you may even become wise.
Good luck.

Saturn return can really be a wake up call. In my case I knew I had to do something about my weight, I lost most of the weight I have ever lost before... sadly I had gained a lot of it back due to depression but I have to get a hold on things. I also stopped doing a lot of the juvenile things I used to do before I had experienced my SR.

That it is!!! In my job I see many people experiencing Saturn return but have no idea why they are having these challenging times and feel the "world is out to get them". Pretty close I tell them but not quite the world ha ha.
if only they could be aware and prepared. I wish I was when I went thru it!!

so you could say Saturn dealt with his fear of commitment or his care free ways knowing that living like that would not get him what he needs in the long run?

well I'm only 32 so I was 3 when it first assumed the same position. My parents told me that as a baby I was born with weak lungs and suffered from pneumonia when I was only a few months old. It was depression time everywhere people had no money even for food let alone medicine plus my parents have 2 more children aside from me. They told me that I struggled for 3 years and finally free from it, like a miracle for them to see such small skinny baby survived in such condition. For me, Saturn means harder work and struggle for what I thought impossible, but the rewards are well worth it.

I have yet to experience my first Saturn return. I'm only 24, so I will face mine in about 5 years, together with my mother (her second) and my boyfriend (also his first). My best friend recently went through her first and it seemed like a very positive experience for her, she emerged from it with a lot of confidence. I think my parents had mixed experiences, they both had bad and good changes and experiences.
