Suddenly I realized, I have never received any notify mail in my private mail box alerting my of the discussion that are started by my friends. When I went to my Friends' section, "Notify" button was "off" on all friends. What about you? Have you faced this problem as well? Now, I am turning notify on all friends.

Yes a lot of them went off when they made some major changes or upgrades to myLot. So I did like you and went in and changed them all to notify "NO". Bad mistake that was, so now I have selectively chosen which ones of my friends to have notify on and which ones are off.
The big mistake in turning them all on was that my inbox was absolutely flooded with emails from myLot which is why only some of mine are one. At one time they were sending every discussion as well as every response and/or comment that my friends posted which was a LOT of emails. In fact it flooded my inbox so much that nothing else could get through. LOL
Just be careful sherinek as this could happen to you too, unless that problem has now been fixed as well.

It happens. I am selective and I deleted ones I dont want as my friends. So the ones remain are the ones I actually want as friends. You know last time when I logged on (I usually go to my friends' section) only a few were Off. But today, all were off. I blew a fuse!

LOL -- everytime I accept a friend request I immediately check my list and make sure all my friends are set to on. Yep, I get messages from all 160 of you!

Fair enough. I also dont think that my friends have to answer all my discussions. But I dont think its unfair to expect an answer from FRIENDS every now and then. I try to answer at least one discussion of each friend of mine. Sometimes, more than one.

I only delete folks who have not logged in in a month or more, or who post 20 stupid "pepsi or coke" type discussions a day. It costs me nothing to have extra people on my list, and I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt. It's not like I answer every post each one of my friends makes, so why would I expect them to do that for me?

No. My friend's list was already turned as on in the notification manner.
